The absolute best place, on this side of heaven, to spend some time in the company of delightful people. The view towards the mountains and heaven are fabulous! Highly recommended, and so are advance reservations. Dan H.

The Credo is a wonderful Swiss Inn that is located on the mountainside above the charming village of Wilderswil. It focuses on hosting conferences and other group activities, with an emphasis on Christian themes.
Gorgeous views abound, whether your attention is drawn to Alpine peaks or to the glacier-carved valley that opens below. In the distance, Lake Brienz sits, where a traveler can take boat transportation to many of the beautiful small villages that rim the lake. It takes all of 15 minutes to walk into the center of Wilderswil, where the townspeople entertain with folk dancing and music one night a week during the summer.
The staff at Credo is attentive, the chef skilled and the accommodations clean and comfortable.
This was my 4th visit to Credo and plan to visit again in June 2013.

Attending a special retreat, I found Credo incredible. The staff, service, food, location, etc... The views looking on the town of Wilderswil and the mountains of Eiger, Munch and Jungfrau was spectacular. This property runs specialised camps for kids, singles, couples and others in a Christian context. Check out their website for details. It is close to the train station which links to many hiking opportunities. A ropes course (the best I have been on) is also a 15 minute walk. Lots of amazing creation scenery to mediate on.

This property boasts the best view in Wilderswil or Interlaken. You can see over the entire valley and even one of the lakes. The property has lots to do, and the building itself is beautiful. The food is very good, and the price was reasonable, especially considering the normal prices of Switzerland.

This is an unusual hotel. The food is excellent and healthy. The cost, especially with half or full board, is outstanding for the region. The views are spectacular, especially from the side that looks out over the valley and up at the Jungfrau. You can walk into Interlaken or Wilderswil. Wilderswil is the train station at the entrance of the train lines that go up to Grindelwald, Wengen, Murren, Shynige Platte, the Schilthorn, the Jungfraujoch, the Lauterbrunnen Valley and ... everything worth seeing.
But there are no televisions in any of the rooms.
It's like stepping into a different world. Even the internet in the public areas is relatively slow. Everything is gemutlich.
There are apparently church groups that use the hotel often. If you care to, you can go along on their "ausflugs" or hikes. You can even sit in on the evening homilies, if so inclined. (While I was there they had a Swiss one evening and a German for the remaining evenings.)
It's relaxing, pleasant and almost like hitting the "reset" switch in your life. I recommend it highly, but it's not for the night life.

The Hotel is located uphill and has an overview of the fields and the town Wilderswil and Interlaken. The view from the room is amazing. The building itself is very beautiful.
The style of the management and the friendliness makes it for a wonderful place.
The food was simple but very good: I loved the bread, cheese and ham, as well as the local fruit preserves.
The grounds have areas for games for children.
The room was simple but really comfortable. We slept very well.
The place is fitted for conferences and retreats with multiple rooms for the meetings. So it is usual to have groups that are together for an event. This wasn’t an issue for us when we visited on our own
Highly recommended!

I stayed in this hotel 30 years ago as a school kid. Coming from a fairly industrial area in Northwest England. The view in the morning from the top floor was breathtaking and has stayed with me ever since. So much so that this week I returned to Interlaken with my family. We are staying nearby and only realised the name of the place that I stayed when I drove by it today.
It is a magnificent facility in a very envious position which is a gateway to so many of the delights of Switzerland.
I only wish I’d come back to Interlaken sooner.
Thank you Credo Schloss.

A beautiful swiss lodge in the mountains is a great way to enjoy Switzerland. Its a short walk from the train station, and from Interlaken you can make your way up (by train) into the heart of the Alps. Enjoy breathtaking views out your window and comfy beds. But, please, spend your time hiking rather than hanging out at Credo.
