Detailed Reviews

The place itself is great, the pool, the people, the staff all great. We rented the chalets for 4 days and was quite disappointed when we arrived. The pictures on their website show the chalets with beautiful cut grass and well maintained. When we arrived it was a different story. There was no grass to be seen, a small rock walkway and nothing but mud and rocks where the fire pits were installed. We based our trip on these being more quality and more comforting and paid almost 900$ for the 4 days, but when you have no grass and a small child, it makes it hard to have an enjoyable experience when you can’t even play in the grass. Wouldn’t take much to lay sod down or even dirt and grass seed. I would love to give it a better review but for this reason I can’t. 2.5/5 in my books.

This place is good as a family camping trip, but IT IS NOT WHERE THE PARTY IS AT!! Pool closes at 7pm, dance floor starts at around 8 closes at 11;30 and the lake is not a lake it is a pond that goes up to an adults knees. As a fun family camping get together though, this place could be rewarding, however if your looking for a club type atmosphere you will be displeased.

Totally below our expectations!! We had reservations for 3 nights! The cleanliness of the premises and ESPECIALLY the showers leaves something to be desired. The showers are moldy, often no toilet paper, no hand soap. We went there with the children, but the water games are still closed, the swimming pool is large and clean however no paddling pool style place for babies, the beach is closed (it is disgusting anyway) and the parks are very poorly maintained and many things are broken. They say they sell alcohol, but in reality they only sell non-alcoholic drinks and the pool bar is therefore closed at all times, what's more, on the weekend we were banned from bring our own drink to the pool even if it was in a can. There was supposed to be a tasting of the Rosemont distillery and it never took place. If we wanted to make fires we had to buy their wood, it is forbidden to bring our own wood which I have never seen in other campsites. In short, their site sells us a dream... the children still had a lot of fun, but we won't come back for sure and we don't recommend it either unfortunately.

We stayed in a condo and do not recommend it. For the price we paid it was not worth it. When we arrived there was a smell in the hallway and a garbage bag there. Two days later the bag was still there and joined by another, with flies hanging around. Our condo was also full of flies, even though it was clean. The place was warm and there was just a single heat pump air conditioner on the upper level which we had to run so much that it started leaking and making electrical shock clicking sounds. The ceiling fan also made a tik-tok sound when it was. The listing said the room came with two couches with queen sized mattresses, but there was only one in the room. The TV was not connected to anything, so it didn't work, and the Internet was terrible, so we couldn't stream anything. The water pressure in the building was incredibly low, so showers were difficult and the dishwasher didn't work. In the bathroom there was an open hole into the boiler room, the shower nozzle was inverted so when you turned it all the way on it was colder, and the dispenser was mostly empty. The back porch was not completely fenced in, as a part of it was open to climb up/down. Also, the playground sand was not tended to and was hard like cement. We voiced some of these concerns and were offered $50 off a future stay, but no assurances of any attempts to address the problems we mentioned for future guests, nor to compensate for the disappointing experience which didn't come close to expectations. I would recommend staying away.

As excited that we were to go to Havanah Camping Resort based on the information on their website, it was a terrible experience from the day we arrived to the day we left (1 week). The camping lots are terrible, full of mud and long grass (after reserving a year in advance), the pool water was blurry with lots of insects in it. The entertainement was not great and the fireworks were about the same as the one we would do in our backyard. At the cost per night, I would have expected a much better clean place. I would not recommend to anyone. Extremely disappointed. Not what you see on their website.

Just returned from a weekend at the camping. Truly disappointed. The lots are very narrow and you need to be a truck driver (class 1) to get it right. Lots are not level. There are so many people in the pool and personally felt disgusted to say the least. The laundromat (washer and dryers ) not working. (Told by a family with 5 children who were there for a week ! Many people we met said they would not return (us included). Overall experience … poor. (Ps not many trees in some areas so you’re in the sun all day ).

Must say though that the marketing team does a great job on their web page of idealizing the spot as if you’re on a resort.

The campground smells like sewers over flowing. The "lake" is no more than a tiny dirty muddy puddle. The cabana also smell like waste water. The pool is so crowded that you cant even move. The staff dont speak french and nobody can help you in any way. I never do reviews on tripadvisor but that was too much.

We went with families for a stay of 5 days and 4 nights in chalet and we are really disappointed. The facilities at this place do not match the price we paid for each night in a cottage. The utensils were old and incomplete, the BBQ broke, the bathtub did not work, the beach was closed, etc. Good point, animators.

▪︎I rented a wooden tent!
It was great and it did the job for a girl who didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up a real tent hehe

▪︎ Owners listen
▪︎ Super nice pancake lady
▪︎ Beautiful swimming pool

▪︎ My downside is the arcade for young people.
It looked like an untidy back of a garage. Almost nothing that works.

Are groups of older children, including several Havana staff children, gathered in front of arcades (in fact, 2 of the 10 that were working) lol, But who are not playing.

Our young people and those of our friends felt intimidated and no longer dared to go there.

▪︎ And, oh yes too... pretty stupid canteen guy!
▪︎ Prices still high $$$
($900 for mini “chalet) 3 nights

But I still recommend the place!
I will go back there!

The sofa bed mattress is queen size but really uncomfortable. If you get a Cabana that has an extra room, the bed is way much better and they are queen size also...well by queen bed sheets fitted perfectly
