The room, as well as the whole place, was very neat and the linen crispy fresh. We had a nice shower after a long and strenuous trip down to Cape Town from Pretoria, and we really liked the overall feel of your place.
We will definitely stay over again when we come down to Cape Town.
Well done and three cheers to you.
The Winelands Lodge is centrally located, about 25km from the city centre and 30km from Stellenbosch. Host Carol is a treasure trove of information on tourist attractions in this part of the world and provides or advises on guided or self-drive tours.
In the mornings we were served a very delicious Full English Breakfast. Fresh fruit and yoghurt and cereals were also available.
Waking up to the singing of so many different birds in the morning was a highlight for me and cooling off in the refreshing pool after a whole day in the sun was also very enjoyable. Mike and Claudia make sure you have a pleasant stay and surely do everything in their power to make your stay....a Stay to remember....A home away from home. Thank you Mike and Claudia.
Our trip was for a show at Paarl Amphitheatre, so the position was perfect for us, and we found all of Cape Town's attractions easy to access from the nearby N1.
Our bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom great - what a wonderful shower head! We look forward to visiting again to see the results of the vision they have to take Wineands Lodge to the next level of excellence :)
Erika felt safe and she said the breakfast was superb!!
We are extremely happy with what Michael had done and provided. Thank you so much Michael!
I would like to let you know that the front doors lock sometimes open with some difficulty. Maybe some Q20 will help. This is not an issue, just wanted to inform you about this. Had a great visit!!!
The wifi is advantageous as you can then be busy on your phone and watch what you want to watch there.
But the Owner was not very pleasant, was very irritated by the bell which from outside guests would not know if it works, not even an instruction that says press once and someone will attend to you shortly. I was not happy with the treatment given by the Landlord and for that reason i will not return to the Lodge.
Not worth going to if you want a peace if mind.
"Some rooms have direct pool area access, & rooms towards the back of the lodge will be further away from noise of other guests & traffic."Read full review
