Arthotel Munich is celebrated for its eclectic charm, with guests enjoying the artistic atmosphere and funky decor that permeates the property. The staff receives acclaim for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While the hotel's prime location near the railway station and attractions is a highlight, some guests have reservations about the area's ambiance at night. Room opinions are split, ranging from spacious comfort to basic, with occasional noise issues. The hotel shines with its cleanliness and the inclusion of a substantial breakfast, although views on value for money vary among travelers.

We recently returned from staying at Arthotel Munich. We stayed in 2 comfort rooms, which were very spacious and well equipped. Upon our arrival, which was late at night, the staff were very friendly and efficient. It is a very central, clean and well run hotel. The breakfast was excellent, it had plenty of choice to suit everyone, and the staff were refreshing the buffet constantly with fresh food. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the cleaning staff were very discreet, waiting until the guests had left for the day before entering the rooms. We would highly recommend the Arthotel, thanks for a fantastic stay.

Situated just a few minutes walk from the main train station in Munich, this hotel was an ideal location for my trip. The hotel itself was very clean, with an eclectic decor which made it stand out to me. My room was spacious and again clean, with good wardrobe space (it also had what I assume to be a sofa bed which was unexpected but pretty comfy). The bathroom had a walk-in shower space, and they also provided a proper hairdryer which was much appreciated! There was a wide selection of breakfast foods available with the breakfast (cereal, cold meats, toast, pretzels, etc), along with tea and coffee and juices too. The staff were also all very polite and spoke excellent English. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a 3 days stay in Munich, we found a well and very friendly hotel.
The team is very customer dedicated, they even kept my roof box from my car to allow traveling in Munich and park in underground parking where it is limited to 2m only.
A small courtyard to take breakfast in a calm atmosphere. A top management of the Covid-19 for breakfast where waiter just fill your plate so no one is touching the buffet.
Special message for the manager because of our dog Scott Golden retriever where he had a very nice welcome. Nice picture from jack in the lobby
Just book good price good location with parking and super team

Thank you all

The location of this hotel, whilst not the most pleasant part of Munich, is ideal for exploring the area around Munich.

Our double room was a good size, and the ensuite bathroom had a good, powerful shower with plenty of hot water.

All staff were very helpful and approachable. Considering the COVID restrictions, the breakfast buffet was pretty good (if basic).

I initially was wary of this because the price was very inexpensive. This small boutique motel is a winner. Hip and a little funky with all the art work.

Rooms were spotless. Sad mall but efficient. Cable TV limited but does have 2 English channels, CNN and CNBC.

Breakfast offered much variety. All interesting and good.

The icing on the cake is the superior staff. So helpful and accommodating. They bent over backwards to help us move into a room early to crash from jet lag.

Location is a 5 minute walk from the Central
Station (Hauptbahnhof) and within reasonable walking distance to th famous Marienplatz.

While there, don’t miss the Glockenspiel at the Rathaus on the Marienplatz. A 5 minute show starting at noon.

I booked this hotel as it was near the main station where I arrived and departed so didn't want to walk too far with a heavy suitcase. I was a bit worried about reviews saying the area wasn't particularly pleasant but I didn't find it scary and it was only a 2 minute walk to the station and a 5 minute walk to Karlsplazt, the entrance to the Munich old town.
The breakfast was of course different due to Covid-19 but they did their best and although the inside seating is still pretty close to others there is also the option to sit outside in the courtyard which is pleasant enough although fairly basic.
The room was quite large with a sofa area and also an internal door so no noise from the corridor could be heard.
All in all a good stay, no down side at all.

We stayed two nights at Arthotel. We chose it because of its affordability and proximity to the train station. We had a quad room for family of four (2 college age) in the main building. The room was fine - clean and large enough to accommodate us. The large bathroom and entry hall allowed for privacy with multiple people in the room. The breakfasts were terrific - huge selection on the buffet and constantly refreshed. We enjoyed the location as there was a terrific biergarten within walking distance that the hotel recommended our first night. We enjoyed it so much, we ate there our second night as well. Once in the full service restaurant and once in the serve yourself garden. It was a fairly long way to the city center, but Munich's public transit system made that effortless. Good value stay for the price.

After reading really positive comments about the hotel and choosing Arthotel for our 4-night stay, I was a bit disappointed with my choice. I knew that though the location near the railway station is convenient for further travelling, it’s not the best or most picturesque of neighbourhoods.

About, the hotel then: the lobby is not very inviting and might give a negative first impression with its confusing design, but our comfort room was really nice: spacious with comfy beds and an empty minifridge to store groceries in. My biggest gripe is breakfast, particularly the endless queuing: the hotel was fully booked and despite the time slots for breakfast you first had to queue to be seated, then to get food, then to get coffee. The breakfast area is simply too small for this number of people. Avoiding contact with the other guests was impossible. Breakfast was quite basic: bread rolls, eggs, cold cuts and cheeses.
The staff were polite and the place clean, so considering the reasonable price of the room I can’t really complain, but I wouldn’t choose Arthotel for my next visit in Munich.

This was my second time to stay in this hotel .There were three of us sharing we had two single beds and the fold up bed .Rooms are spacious and clean .Central station is less than 10 mins of a walk away .Hotel is very central and we didn't find it to be noisy .
Breakfast is very good with a good choice of cereals hams cheese and breads thought the machine for butter was really cool just press the button and little lump of butter pops out have never seen that before coffee was also very good .
There was a nice relaxed atmosphere from the staff and never a rush to get us out of restaurant at breakfast.
Had a lovely weekend in Munich will definitely be back to this hotel when i return to Munich .
Was very busy around the Christmas Markets we bought a few bits thought they were very expensive.

Awful service and over priced. This hotel not only is over priced with horrendous service but is unwilling to assist with any accommodations, especially due to Covid 19. Beware if you are traveling from another country. I would never stay here or recommend to anyone I know.
