The NYC Express Bus provides airport transportation to and from Manhattan and JFK & LaGuardia Airports. We depart to Grand Central & Times Square in the heart of Manhattan, 7 days a week from 11:00am-7:00pm. Getting to Manhattan from JFK & LGA has never been easier! We also provide New York Airport Transfers between Newark & JFK or LGA & transfers between JFK & LGA airports. Children 3 and under ride free!

This review is for the express bus from Newark Airport to Grand Central Station. Due to Covid the company drastically cut back its service schedule. That is understandable. So we traveled in a packed bus. Also OK after all our choice to travel during these times. However, getting rid of the employee that takes payment forces the driver to collect all payments. But you can't pay the driver with a credit card. For that you need to download the coach USA app. So imagine a bunch of people downloading the app and the driver just waiting for them. The end result is the 4:50pm bus left terminal C at 5:26pm. Total fail! I'll be using Lyft for future trips. I guess coach USA has never heard of a small credit card payment processor called Square 😂

Quick, cheap, and efficient. Driver was kind of a jerk, and had no personality but service at airport was good.

I chose to have cheaper flight tickets from Europe to Chicago at the expense of the hassle of changing the airport in New York. As I am not a frequent US traveller I was a bit concerned with how smooth the transfer will be. Traveling with my wife and kids, I was hoping to have a hassle-free transfer.
The service worked out just fine. On-time pick-up, on-time arrival. Comfortable and air conditioned bus.
A hint: buy the tickets online or via mobile app to get a discount.
A hint: I was surprised to learn that Uber drivers charge about the same $12-$15 per person for this JFK-LGA transfer. And there were plenty of Uber outside of the terminal ready to give you a ride. Should I have not purchased the Express Bus tickets in advance (to get a discount), I would have taken Uber - would have sparred me 45 min of waiting for the bus.

My elderly mother had a terrible experience with this service where they dropped her off at “the last stop” which was not the last stop advertised. Caused her to wait in the pouring rain until I was able to find her after an hour. Have tried to contact them on this matter MULTIPLE times with no luck. They do not care about their customers. Use another company

With construction going on at both LGA and JFK, it can seem challenging just transferring between terminals at either airport. It was so nice to walk straight from my terminal at LGA and step onto the Golden Touch shuttle bus to JFK with no hassle at all. Before I knew it (about 45 minutes later) I was dropped off at my terminal at JFK. It was so easy and way less expensive than ride-share or taxi.

Journey into NYC as smooth as was possible to be. Straight off plane, out of baggage reclaim and onto waiting bus with pre-booked (on TripAd) tickets. 50 mins into Manhattan via expressway and Midtown tunnel.. return journey a 90 minute nitemare. Driver inexplicably forsook expressways for a traffic clogged neighbourhood tour of Queen's. Only he knows why. From past experience, this is generally a good service bit how you legislate for a navigationally challenged driver, one never knows...

Are express buses and other shuttle buses running now....because of covid....in NYC? I would like info on the Manhattan to JFK shuttle services and the express buses thank you. Lindy

As far as I know, due to the current Covid situation, the Express bus runs only from Manhattan to Newark. There is no regularly scheduled bus from JFK to Manhattan (at least not full time). All buses are now "private shuttles". We were recently in a similar situation and could not find a shuttle that started early in the morning. You can use the Airtrain from JFK to Jamaica station and then take the E train into Manhattan. There are two possible stations to change trains if you are looking to get to Grand Central. You can also take an Uber, Lyft, or Via but they have all gotten quite expensive lately

Looking to book from Newark Airport to JFK ...... I know you need to change at Grand Central to another bus!
Online booking says you need to take a print of the ticket confirmation ( 2 of them - presume for the change ) to show but I will not have access to a printer. Is it ok to show the confirmation from the phone?
Or is it best to turn up at Newark and get a ticket from the agent that way?
Thanks for any help - booking for my daughter who is trekking!!

If youre arriving at Newark you will need to print, they require it. Best just to purchase in person

Hi! I am thinking of booking a transfer from JFK terminal 1 to 42 Port Authority stop as I am staying at Doubletree Hilton TIme Square West for 2 at 1pm. Am only afraid that if my flight delays or custom takes too long, will I get a refund or can i change the timing? Also, do I have to tip anyone?

I am traveling alone from JFK to a hotel at Times Square. This looks like a great option, since my travel fits within the terminal and time constraints. Is it easy to find the correct bus? I'm concerned that I won't be able to locate the bus stop, or that others will lead me to the wrong bus company. I will be arriving on American Airlines, terminal 8. Any advice will be appreciated!
