Motorcyclist hospitalised after Redcliffe crash

A motorcyclist remains in hospital with serious injuries after the dirt bike he was riding was involved in a crash with a Hyundai in Redcliffe on Friday night.

Police say the orange KTM motorcycle was being ridden south-east on Epsom Avenue at the same time a blue Hyundai i20 hatch was being driven north-west on the same road about 6.15pm.

The two vehicles collided with each other between Smiths Avenue and Durban Street.

The 29-year-old male motorcycle rider received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 71-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was not injured in the crash, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
