The Wellness Forecast: 19 New Product Launches We Can’t Stop Talking About in February

We've been quietly anticipating this launch for a while, and it's finally here. Parachute's new 22-piece collection of organic-cotton goods covers everything from sheets and bedding to loungewear and plush bath towels. The super soft, no-frills collection is available in seven earthy colors. Trust us, you'll want to drape your life in it.

Sony introduced the first open-air earbuds with the new LinkBuds. The open central diaphragm is designed for a “never off” wearing experience that offers audio transparency, allowing you to tune into what's going on around you without compromising your music, podcast, or Zoom call. Plus, through the Headphone Connect app, you can use Adaptive Volume Control to automatically optimize the volume based on your location, letting music blend with the environment without interruption. The LinkBuds, which come in white and gray, are splash- and sweat-resistant, and a 10-minute charge can give up to 90 minutes of play time. 

If you're looking for ways to make your workouts more fun and motivating, Peloton's newest feature is one way to achieve it. Lanebreak is a gamified workout experience, whereby Peloton riders have to match and sustain their resistance or cadence according to animated cues to get the highest score. Along the way, riders face obstacles and reward incentives that challenge their response rate and output. Of course, in true Peloton style, the game-style rides are set to beat-bumping playlists. Members can choose from different levels based on the kind of music they're feeling (EDM? rock? pop?) or workout types (like HIIT or endurance intervals), and each level has difficulties ranging from beginner to expert.

Black-owned skin-care brand Eadem launched Cloud Cushion, a lightweight moisturizer that targets dark spots and repairs the skin barrier, thanks to a handful of hardworking ingredients. The moisturizer is formulated for people of color, but it will work its magic on every skin type and tone. Inside the jar, protective ceramides and peptides, soothing niacinamide, and hydrating squalane and snow mushroom work in tandem to deliver hydration and protection without the greasy feel.

Created by a female-led design team, Adidas's new spring-summer sports bra collection consists of 32 new styles meant for activities like lounging, yoga and Pilates, HIIT and sport training, and running. The brand also launched an online bra fitting tool alongside the collection that offers a self-measurement tutorial, and a bra finder to help shoppers find their perfect fit. And if you didn't see the iconic sports bra campaign, you should change that.

You might know Hyper Skin for its hyper-popular vitamin C serum. The brand is expanding its product line for the first time with the launch of the Fade & Glow AHA Mask. It uses a duo of glycolic and mandelic acids to exfoliate, clear out congested pores, and even skin tone. It's formulated with niacinamide and salicylic acid to boost its skin-clearing power, plus brightening turmeric and bearberry.

We're in the era of virtual mental health care, and the new mental fitness platform Wondermind is here to prove it. Founded by Forbes 30-Under-30 recipient Daniella Pierson, Selena Gomez, and Maddy Teefy, Wondermind intends on destigmatizing mental health issues and providing support from licensed professionals. By signing up for the platform's wait list, you'll soon have access to its content hub (which includes a daily newsletter that offers tips, resources, and interviews), weekly podcast, and product line of tools to encourage users to make tangible progress in their own mental fitness journey.

Buzzy Black-owned wellness brand Undefined released its first sun-care product, the R&R Sun Serum SPF 50, which provides mineral sun protection through 12% zinc oxide (minus the white cast that's common in mineral SPF). It's formulated as a lightweight fluid that acts as both a sunscreen and a tinted moisturizer for all skin tones. The serum is packed with niacinamide to soothe and brighten, tremella mushroom to hydrate, and raspberry seed to protect.

To celebrate the love month, celeb- and SELF-adored workout The Class unveiled the Pleasure Your Self workout series. The collection consists of six classic, cathartic The Class workouts, followed by teacher-led reflections that allow users to explore more of what turns them on and enhances their body and mind's ability to feel pleasure. The classes, which are driven by music and blend cardio, meditation, and strength training, range from 35 to 65 minutes, and each preclass conversation offers two to five minutes of listening and reflection.

Here's a brand launch we're absolutely buzzing about: Ourself, a new biotech skin-care brand developed by the team that founded SkinMedica and Alastin. Launching with a suite of eight noninvasive products, Ourself is a topical alternative to cosmetic procedures like injectables, dermal fillers, wrinkle relaxers, and lasers. To get a little scientific on you, the brand developed bio-engineered peptides (which they call Intides) that target pathways into your skin to address common issues like dehydration, fine lines, dark spots, and more. Some of the first Ourself products to launch include at-home peels, lip filler (and conditioner), a daily moisturizer, and more.

Clove, the DTC health care footwear brand, cooked up a collaboration with Nurse Clara Jones this month. The health care and lifestyle influencer worked with the brand to create the Clara 1 (a subtle nod to Nike's iconic Air Force 1), a blush pink sneaker that combines her Korean heritage and encapsulates what it means to be a modern health care professional. The lace-free (and squeak-free) shoes provide gentle compression and arch support for health care workers spending hours on their feet.

It's always a good day when we get a new skin-care brand put on our radar. This month brought the launch of Katini Skin, founded by Japanese African artist Katini Yamaoka. The brand launched with four silky facial oils (ranging from $75 to $115) with ingredients sourced from Yamaoka's native Japan, Africa, and Australia. Each targets a different skin concern, like acne or environmental irritation. Katini launched in partnership with the nonprofit Black Progress Matters.

Black-owned wellness brand Golde (you know it for its killer matcha) teamed up with the master caffeinators at Canyon Coffee for a sweet Valentine's Day kit that's still available, and perfect for a year-round treat, IMO. The kit comes with a bag of Canyon's Tolima Especial Colombian coffee beans, Wildwood's vegan Berry Berry Chocolate Bar, and a bag of Golde's warming Cacao Turmeric latte blend.

Here's a new refillable body-care brand aiming to reduce the waste in your self-care routine. Uni's unisex bath essentials include a nourishing body wash, hydrating shampoo and conditioner, a body serum, and an exfoliating hand wash. The aluminum containers twist easily into dispensers for both a clean look and an opportunity for refills. The brand has a closed-loop system, which means it reuses material waste created during the production process to make additional and new products, reusing the same materials over and over again. You can purchase the products one time or by subscription.

This isn't the first time Reebok and Victoria Beckham have collaborated, but the new Drop Six functional movement collection might just be the coolest yet. You'll find a range of new apparel and footwear options, from the beloved VB Zig Kinetica sneaker to wide-leg basketball pants that pay homage to ’90s sportswear styles.

The apparel collection is available in sizes XS to XL, and footwear is available in sizes 5.5 to 14.5.

Former SELF cover star La La Anthony launched her hair-care brand, Inala, this month. The hero ingredient is a rice water complex she developed in her kitchen in 2020 (while the rest of us were making sourdough). The brand launched with the Power Potion, a lightweight hair serum that works to strengthen and repair hair and potentially promote hair growth. Besides the rice water complex, the Power Potion has high concentrations of biotin and protein-building amino acids like arginine and serine, which help make hair feel thicker.

Sunroom, a new women-founded app (the cofounders previously worked at Bumble and Hinge) fills the gap between Instagram's too restrictive content moderation and OnlyFan's too lax moderation. The video platform (similar to TikTok) is intended for women and nonbinary content creators, doesn't censor or shadow-ban sex workers, and promotes body positivity. Sunroom also offers reduced service fees for Black, Indigenous and Hispanic creators. The app is free to download and view public posts, but some creators can offer subscription and membership models (ranging from $1 to $30 per month). Content ranges from a variety of topics like fashion, mental health, sex advice, personal news from influencers, artists, athletes, and more.
