Welcome to the SAG-AFTRA New York Local! We represent members working in the state of New York, as well as Northern New Jersey and Western Connecticut.

Thank you, to my fellow members for entrusting me once again to serve as your New York Local President. I am grateful and honored to serve the membership in this role.
As we continue our fight for a fair contract, I am moved by the continuing energy and grit on the picket lines. I am proud to rally with you as we fight the battle for our careers. We look forward to the strike resolving so we can get back to work in and around this great city.
As a filming location, New York offers iconic urban as well as rural landscapes, small towns, mountains, cliffs, seashores, lakes, rivers and streams. Most importantly, it has the legacy of a deep talent pool and crew base, ready and willing to work. Our New York Local also represents one of the largest densities of broadcasters and media professionals who work in front of the camera and behind the mic.
As a SAG-AFTRA member, there are many ways for you to participate. We urge you to read our emails containing news, events and career-development opportunities sent to you each week. Explore the Neighborhood
The neighborhood around 1900 Broadway is one of the best in the city for food, culture, or just walking. We are opposite Lincoln Center, one of the greatest performing arts centers in the world and only steps away from Central Park. And there are dozens of great restaurants both north and south of us, on Broadway and Columbus Avenue. Of course, there is a Starbucks, right across the street, and plenty of ATM machines. On Thursdays and Saturdays there is a Farmer’s Market in the Richard Tucker Park on 65th Street. And there are several movie theaters in the area, ranging from art house to IMAX.
