Please reach out to payroll@readalliance.org and provide them with your name and year(s) of employment with Read Alliance.

We recruit directly from high schools 95% of the time, so we don't typically do outreach to teens just from the online application. The high schools we recruit from are due to their proximity and relationship to our elementary school partners.

If a Read Alliance staff member contacts you regarding your application, then you will be given instructions on how to submit your documents. If no staff member has contacted you, please do not email your documents to them.

During the summer, we recruit our teens from SYEP. If you are selected by SYEP and work with one of our partners, yes you can work with us. Priority is then given to teens that have worked with us during the school year.

All Read Alliance programs are held in person at various elementary schools across the 5 boroughs. Your placement is dependent on the high school that you attend.

There isn’t a deadline to apply to be a Teen Leader.
