My clients face a range of life’s challenges: depression, anxiety, peer conflict, communication, transition to college/work, enhancing self-awareness, identity, relationship/family dynamics (separation/divorce), grief, and autism or attention deficit/executive functioning challenges.
Many of my clients are making exciting but often daunting transitions - from Jr High to High School or High School to College, ending or beginning new relationships and careers. Change is so often viewed with anxiety and negativity. Yet, change is happening all around us every day. How can we make change a positive experience in our lives? How can we choose to change something that is not working? How can we learn and grow from a challenging experience? As a counselor, I believe my job is to create a space where clients can explore these and other topics, in a way that ultimately positively impacts their day to day lives.

Are you trying to learn more about yourself and how you can best navigate your world? Are you exploring all parts of your identity and what makes you "you"? I have focused primarily on identity-related challenges, including Gender/Sexuality exploration, Race/Ethnic identity concerns, Religious/Cultural trauma, and Sex/Intimacy issues. I also have experience helping clients navigate issues related to depression, anxiety, and ADHD/Neurodivergent disorders. I'm here to be a collaborative and warm therapist who isn't going to throw a therapy book at them but instead wants someone who sees them as human beings walking through life.

I primarily work with the queer/trans community, people of color, adoptees, and neurodivergence (ADHD/ASD/etc).
Hi! I'm Fai (/fay/). I believe that our experiences in society aren't one-size-fits-all, nor should our therapy be. I aim to support those impacted by queerphobia, racism, ableism, fatphobia, adoption, and other oppressive systems which contribute to mental health difficulties, poor self-regard, and complex trauma. Together, I hope we can challenge negative core beliefs, deconstruct the experiences that led to their development, and cultivate an authentic, compassionate sense of self.

I am a helper at heart and take pride in being an advocate for mental health, well-being and self-care. Outside of my experience in outpatient therapy, my background includes work in child protective services and higher levels of mental health-care (inpatient treatment, residential treatment, family-based therapy). My goal is to support clients in cultivating a healthier headspace by prioritizing their mental wellbeing and aiming for progress over perfection.
