The Global Payroll and Tax Compliance Department mission is to provide prompt and accurate payments to all students, faculty, postdoctoral fellows and employees. In doing so, we monitor and maintain procedural integrity and compliance with Local, State and Federal agencies, Collective Bargaining Agreements, University policies and accounting accuracy. We prepare exempt organization tax returns and University Unrelated Business Income Tax Returns; provide advice and guidance on tax issues; and review reports on payment of sales, real estate, and payroll taxes.

Additionally, the Global Payroll and Tax Compliance Department is charged with the responsibility to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and city agency rules and requirements when it comes to payments to Foreign Nationals (also referred to as Nonresident Aliens). We review all payments made via Payroll, Accounts Payable, and the Student Information System to ensure that we meet all reporting and withholding requirements, as well as ensure that all Nonresident Aliens receiving payments from New York University meet all immigration requirements in order to receive payment.

We strive to provide World-Class Customer Service to the NYU community.
