I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Rex Kurzius 🐼 of Asset Panda on how to create a corporate culture of courage. Rex shared that three of his secrets to his success are "GRIT, the ABILITY TO SELL, and INTEGRITY". Rex is a friend of mine from YPO and I agree 100% in his self-assessment. I would go a step further and say his ability to create a Culture of Courage is one of the reasons each company Rex starts is a success, so please read his article and hear some of his secrets! #YPO, #GRIT, #leadership, #cultureofcourage, #entrepreneurship, #culturematters, #corporateculture, #culture, #integrity, #sales

One of my favorite parts about YPO are the relationships you build and how we all share our successes and challenges of running a business. Steven was gracious enough to give us his time to visit with YNG, the next generation of active YPO members ages 18-30. We strongly feel that together we have the opportunity to shape and mold the business leaders of the future. poppi Frank Barbella Annabelle Goff #DrinkPoppi #TheFutureofBusniess

Juneteenth represents brighter days filled with celebration but also serves as a reminder of the pain and struggles America’s Black community experienced – and still experiences. At YPO with its vision to inspire leaders to make a difference in the world, the day also serves as an opportunity. For member Jason Edwards, it means honoring his father’s #legacy as an influential legislator who fought to make June 19th a federal holiday. “Use Juneteenth as a day to communicate to your company and the descendants of American slavery, that you hear them, you see their history and you recognize their story,” Edwards urges. For Kanarys™ CEO Mandy Price it means funneling her civic mindedness into a company dedicated to systemic change around #diversity, equity and inclusion. “It takes all of us to ensure that we are creating a world that is working for the betterment of all. It’s not just a moral imperative, but societal necessity," she says. Frenchy's Chicken’s CEO Ernest H. is honoring the holiday by partnering with a young Black-owned company, a competitor, to create a menu collaboration. “We hope it shows the community, and really everyone, that Juneteenth was just the beginning of the journey,” Hunter says. “The way we continue to improve Black-owned businesses is to work together and cross competitor lines.” And Devon Henry is leaning into his Black YPO network to support and celebrate other leaders. “We share our joy and celebrate each other’s wins,” he says about the smaller group of YPO members within the larger organization. “We’re constantly asking how we can help each other." Honoring #Juneteenth is a #family affair for YPO member Jason Edwards. His father, former #Texas state representative Albert Edwards, was instrumental in leading the cause to make June 19th a federal holiday and due to his efforts, in 2021 Congress approved the bill to establish the nationwide holiday. Jason continues his father’s #legacy through #education and #advocacy at Juneteenth U.S.A. Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 – two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed – when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, USA, to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people were freed. Last year, Edwards sat down with DEI & You Consulting's Dolores Crazover (She/Her) to reflect on his father’s #legacy and what it meant to him to have the day legally recognized. #Leadership #impact #history #nationalholiday

Would you participate in Digital Fight Club? YPO member John S. did and came away with a WIN! Check out his insights and takeaways from the competition ⬇

Digital Fight Club, created by Michael Pratt and co-produced by David Malicoat for #Cybersecurity, has captured significant media attention lately as the show has been picked up as a TV series by a media company!Having experienced the thrill firsthand,I share my insights with future fighters. To feel the energy, watch this 1-minute video before diving into my post. Reflecting on my time in the ring, I've distilled three valuable lessons that are not only applicable to #DFC but also to work & life. 1. Every Thought as a Unit of Mental Energy My good friend and coach Mark Divine from SEALFIT and Tony Robbins shared timeless wisdom on the topic of resilience. Every thought going through the mind will either add to or subtract from the perceived amount of exertion and actual pain tolerance. This is easy until that first pang of pain hits you unexpectedly. However, that's where deliberate practice comes in and trains us to expect that pain over and over while countering that pain with reality you have done this before over and over. On #DFC stage, you have less than 60 sec to assert a rebuttal or take a clear stance like being in a battle rap. I choked and let doubt cross my mind throughout but kept stepping back into the dojo of the mind."Every thought of yours is a real thing -a force."Rhonda Byrn 2. Power of Intentionality In the age of #AI, my attention muscles have atrophied as swiping, glancing, and clicking are often expressions of my intention while trying to manage the overwhelming volume of incoming throughout the day. I thought I had #ADD for a long time but it turned out I had an intention deficit. when you have information overloading your head under pressure, a rowdy audience, and stage lighting, attention management becomes obsolete and the only arsenal you have is intention-setting and committing to that very intention or the audience will get lost.Sam Horn coined it #infobesity which kills your ability to move with agility. The most effective way is to transcend the circumstance and set visceral intention and anchor mind to it."I intend that all things I am going to be about in the ring right now will culminate successfully in service to others" 3. Freedom through Commitment #DFC stage setup and time restriction lock you in as every participant moves in choreography. The fighters in boxer robes feel high tension with a shot of adrenaline and I looked for an easy button to press and be set free from it. In this highly polarized election year, the definition of freedom is hard to agree upon with fellow citizens."freedom is not the absence of restrictions but the presence of the right restrictions."&Jocko Willink's freedom is my go-to def so be free in it Made possible for me by people@ ISACA Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)ISC2ProVisors CISO XCEntrepreneurs' OrganizationYPO Stagen Leadership AcademyVistage Worldwide, Inc.DataTribe Conscious Capitalism, Inc.AlderPrime Movers LabEOS - Entrepreneurial Operating System
