The electrification of vehicles and its necessary infrastructure is a complex topic, given its technological novelty, high demand, and substantial funding requirements. Yesterday, experts in planning, funding, and implementing EV charging infrastructure shed light on the resources available to make deployment possible. We are incredibly grateful for our speakers, all of whom are at the forefront of market research and installation. They led an excellent conversation on the critical considerations for electrifying the future of transportation. Attendees left more knowledgeable about funding stacks, product options, installation, and acquiring high-quality consultation. Thank you to our speakers, Nick Vitale, Kirby Okuda, Isaac Jaten, Ibi Guevara, and Jon Olsen! And thank you to CED Salt Lake Division for hosting us! #ULI #ULIUtah #EV

Last night, Utah Clean Energy unveiled their newly renovated Climate Innovation Center to ULI Utah over drinks and insightful conversation. This event allowed a small group to explore the center, which functions as a living laboratory to demonstrate cutting-edge sustainable building and operating practices. The building's understated yet approachable design serves as a model for any office space, highlighting how sustainability can be seamlessly integrated without compromising aesthetics.   Kevin Emerson, M.Sc. presented on the planning process, covering critical aspects such as energy modeling with a zero energy target and evaluating the building's embodied carbon. During the discussion, Kevin stressed the significance of events like this one for inspiring other builders and developers, encouraging open dialogue and fostering collaboration in the pursuit of innovative climate solutions.   A huge thank you to Utah Clean Energy for having us!
