🎵✨ Generous supporters like, Sam's Fans, Ollie's Orchestra, Payton's Lemonade Stand and Melody Makers Music Therapy Charitable Fund are music to our ears! That’s because their donations help us make an impact on kids like Molly. When Molly faced a life-threatening immune deficiency disorder while navigating Down syndrome, our music therapist Nicole became her beacon of joy. Through guitar strums, bongo taps, and tambourine shakes, Nicole helped Molly find moments of normalcy and happiness at Cincinnati Children's. “Molly loved it when it was time for Miss Nicole and her team to come sing, play music and give her a bit of distraction,” said Molly’s mom, Amanda. “To see my daughter experience joy and some level of normalcy in what was anything but normal for us made my heart sing with happiness.” You can help children like Molly by supporting our Music Therapy Program. 🎵✨ 🔗 Visit our wish list to provide much-needed instruments and accessories that bring hope through music: https://lnkd.in/enE3xMJg

  • 🍦😊🍒 A huge shout out to our local Dairy Queen teams ( 3️⃣ 6️⃣ stores across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana! 🗺 ) for sprinkling joy and sweetness through their fundraising efforts! Their support is truly the cherry on top of our community's efforts to make a difference for kids and families. Every year, #MiracleTreatDay means $1 or more from each Blizzard sold at participating Dairy Queen stores will be donated to help kids in our care at Cincinnati Children's thanks to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. • 💡 Emerging Philanthropists Council Member Spotlight 💡   “Reflecting on a chance encounter two years ago, I recall the significant impact Cincinnati Children's had on a family who traveled five plus hours for their son’s treatment here. It struck me then how fortunate I was to have a world-class resource ‘in my backyard.’” Our member spotlight this month is Avery Burns Williams, Head of IR & Platform for HealthQuest Capital. Outside of work, Avery says, her journey to becoming a mother herself helped her recognize the significant role Cincinnati Children's play in the community on a whole new level.   “Joining the Emerging Philanthropist Council was the ideal way to give back to this organization while also seeing the innovative strides being made across the hospital.”   Each month, check out our member highlights to learn more about our one-of-a-kind Emerging Philanthropists Council members and their reason for giving back. • 💕 Please join us in giving a huge THANK YOU to our friends with "LEGOS from Lance" for their milestone gift of 1,122 LEGO sets this year to our kids and families! 💕 “LEGOS from Lance” was started by staff at the Oak Hills Local School District in honor of Lance Winters, who passed away last July after battling renal cell carcinoma for four years. Students, staff and community members donated unopened LEGO sets to families receiving care at our Cincinnati Children's Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute. For Lance, LEGOS meant more than a chance to have fun and be a kid. Building with LEGOS helped him learn to reuse his arm after he underwent surgery on it during his treatment. “So we were thinking a few sets of LEGOs, but before we knew it we had 201 sets of LEGOs in the library and it didn’t look like it was going to stop,” said Mark Winters, Lance’s dad. The most recent gift exceeded 300 sets and was made following Lance’s birthday on June 8th. Donations of LEGOS is one way those who loved Lance can share his bright spirit with others while also providing a form of therapy that can be vital to all those we serve.   🔗 Learn more about in-kind support here: https://lnkd.in/gfij3jzS

🐰 Why did the rabbit go to the salon? It was having a bad hare day. 🐮 Why did the cow go to Hollywood? To be in the moo-vies. 🦃 Why do turkeys play percussion? Because they have drumsticks! All dad jokes aside—this campaign is a great way to spread some joy thanks to our friends from Kilroy McDonald's! https://lnkd.in/g3XNEDNk

🎮✨ A Game-Changer Thanks to Our Friends at Child's Play ✨🎮 Child’s Play Charity has been supporting Cincinnati Children's for more than 10 years and recently made its largest donation ever to support our work. Thanks to Child’s Play Charity, we were able to upgrade our entire virtual reality (VR) equipment. Gone are the days of inconvenient wires and setups with TV screens and video game consoles on carts. Instead, we now have the cutting-edge Meta Quest 3, providing our patients with greater freedom and mobility. One patient, in particular, has embraced VR wholeheartedly. Meet Henry, a patient on our oncology unit. For months, we’ve used VR as part of his therapy, and the results have been astounding. His eyes light up when he dons the headset, ready to immerse himself in the world of the game Beat Saber. It's more than just a game; it’s a respite from hospital routines and a chance to feel like a regular kid again. Child’s Play Charity’s donation has amplified our ability to provide joy, distraction, and therapeutic experiences to countless children like Henry. It’s not just about entertainment; it’s about fostering resilience, creativity, and hope during challenging times. Thanks again, Child’s Play Charity! Your commitment to our patients is making a difference—one virtual reality adventure at a time. 🙌 #ChildsPlayCharity #CincinnatiChildrens #VirtualRealityTherapy #MakingADifference
