This year's election will be like no other. Trump vs Harris and an emerging political talent in VP candidate JD Vance who held his first real solo rally in Radford yesterday. There was serious energy in the standing-room-only room at the Dedmon Center at Radford University.

26+ years ago a young tech began his career as Maintenance Engineer at WSLS. In time, Ricky Williams became our Director of Technology and so much more. His passion, commitment, leadership and friendship became the heartbeat of the station. Now we celebrate Ricky and wish him his best in retirement.

Congratulations WSLS-TV! We are thrilled to announce that WSLS-TV has won an Emmy for Best News Special! According to the VNG, our station was the only news operation in Virginia to embed with the National Guard on the Texas border. The Capital Emmy Awards recognize the tremendous work and dedication of our news team, bringing our audience an in-depth look at the lives of our local men and women deployed there.
