Join us in a round of applause 👏 🏆Introducing Core Value Award recipient David Gonzalez for Innovative Spirit. “My Innovative Spirit is born from being in the maintenance department. We have our customers, rig crews and operation teams — we must fill their needs. We’re the ones that they call when they’re in trouble. We’re the ones that solve the problems, provide the solutions and have that Service Attitude. That’s where Innovative Spirit really comes from because we can’t say no, we need to solve their problems. I like to be part of the solution to everything.” The Core Value Award recipients were nominated by their fellow employees and selected based on who strengthened H&P’s inclusive culture and exemplified our core values — Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, Teamwork and Do The Right Thing in 2023. Wandering the business landscape for the past 20 years helping others solve problems with digital tools.
When Cross & Crown first started, it was a partnership between Tyler and I. But as the company grew—first adding one team member, then 3, then 10, and now almost 20—I had to grow as a leader as well. Those added to the company at first were also close friends, and that atmosphere of friendship has carried over to the rest of the team. Part of our weekly rhythm as a hybrid team is having checkpoints to communicate which location each person is working from and what tasks they are working on. This offers accountability. But even more, it's about knowing where our people are in their motivation, what's going on in the midst of their workload, and at times in their lives. I've learned that exemplifying empathy and commitment to those I lead has helped to create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and motivated to create amazing things together. In my opinion, the permission to lead your team is usually only granted if they know their well-being is a priority. Are there ways you communicate this to your team? I'd love to know.

There are a few aspects of my work that are by far the most rewarding... And it's not helping clients' revenue and net income grow, getting operations more efficient, helping plans get accomplished - which are all amazing things - don't get me wrong... But the moments that stick out even more than those are... - Getting to see a business owner give his life to Jesus and watching his whole life and business get better because of it - Getting to walk alongside a father and son as they figure out the next steps in their business and life - Getting to see a business owner start to enjoy the freedom they always hoped for - Getting to see a leadership team thriving and preparing to take over the company one day These moments (among many others) are why I believe I get to be a part of some of the most rewarding work there is...

Teamwork makes the dream work! ☑️ Also, there is nothing quite like bringing one of your work besties on a tour around a local manufacturing plant - Art Rouse!! Here’s why: 1) Having a few different perspectives on a tour helps identify from a few sets of eyes where we can help solve challenges with our customer 👀👀 2) It shows the customer we are investing our time and effort on fully understanding their challenges 💪🏼 3) We make this a learning experience for both of us to grow in our profession 🤯 Important to note: Always make the customer aware of who you are bringing and why so they are not overwhelmed! It shows you are cautious of protecting their time and are showing full transparency. Happy Thursday from another day at the office working for Crown Packaging Corp. 👷🏼♀️👷🏻

Theater Alliance was so pleased to join Booz Allen Hamilton at The Anthem for their Booz Allen Excellence Awards! The talented team of Theater Alliance artists and youth "brought the magic" to the evening of WOW led by Natalie Ade, Kari Merkel, and team. Arts organizations get asked to perform at these kind of events all the time - and as an artistic leader, we get asked to make those decisions. For me, the question always comes down to #values. Does the organization align with our values of integrity, diversity, and excellence? Does the organization value artists? Does the organization live their values? With #BoozAllenHamilton, the answer was a resounding YES. Even in the first conversation about the event, we didn't talk about what they needed or how to make all their dreams come true on a tiny budget. Instead, we talked about what they believe in and what we believe in - we talked about the WHY of our organizations. That is what makes a great collaboration and I'm grateful! #values #integrity #diversity #excellence
I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of my colleagues who received nominations and awards at this year's #BoozAllen Excellence Awards. It was an honor to recognize the teams who deliver excellence each day, bringing innovative solutions to the most urgent needs of our clients and our communities. We have the most amazing people, and I am so proud to work with them and empower people to change the world. Thank you to Rob Silverman and everyone who made this year's event a success. And congratulations to all our winners and nominees!

When it comes to showing recognition for the good work people do, bigger isn't always better. Sure, accolades and awards can be great. But have you ever had someone tell you how grateful they are for you? No spot lights. No LinkedIn post. No blasting it on the company email chain. Just one-on-one, Telling someone how special they are. Now that's something people never forget. You see, Many managers think showing recognition has to be this big public occasion. They'll go through all the trouble to show recognition, But won't take the little step to thank someone privately. Here's a groundbreaking thought ... do both! Do the big stuff sure, But remember it's the private stuff that feels really meaningful. Some great ways to better show appreciation to your team: https://buff.ly/4bHvMKq.
