Congratulations WSLS-TV! We are thrilled to announce that WSLS-TV has won an Emmy for Best News Special! According to the VNG, our station was the only news operation in Virginia to embed with the National Guard on the Texas border. The Capital Emmy Awards recognize the tremendous work and dedication of our news team, bringing our audience an in-depth look at the lives of our local men and women deployed there. Congratulations to John Carlin, Maisy Carvalho and Jeff Perzan for their exceptional work.
