Upwork Please change your direction. You guys are charging lots of connects for applying for jobs like 16-22 connects for one job which is unbelievable. Also, charging connects while accepting job invitations is not a good decision. Please, reconsider all these to make a better marketplace like before. Clients are very few nowadays and no reply after applying for a job.

If you update your policy to require freelancers to use connects to accept invitations, ensuring that only genuinely interested freelancers accept, then please also implement a policy to return all connects to the freelancer if the client does not hire anyone for the job. This would ensure that freelancers only spend their connects on legitimate opportunities. Additionally, if a freelancer inadvertently applies to a fake job, their connects should be returned if the client does not hire anyone from that job.

I know many freelancers around the world encounter fraudsters on Upwork probably every week. Such fraudsters show 'verified payment method' and even initiate an hourly contract on #upwork. Last week I encountered a fraudster who initiated an hourly contract with me and even issued a $1,000 bonus (which is obviously still pending in my transaction history) and asked me to deposit a fund upfront. I wonder how did he do that? I refused as I am very aware of Upwork's Terms of Service. However, in Q3, I urge #upwork to be more vigilant and to develop a robust system to prevent such #fraudsters from entering this platform. 

Upwork will you refund connects if the client won't hire

We want upwork to reconsider their connect system for freelancers so that they can earn money in this quarter as already many freelancers who are genuine and talented but because of connect even on invitation they can't be able to apply for it please reconsider as we freelancers are just losing ourself its a request 🙏

For Upwork to continue to increase the flow of new clients to the site. I have had 300+ Upwork client engagements in the past year, however could do more work since I am the site's generative AI expert.
