New Episode Now Live: S3 Ep26: The Cannes Sessions with Chidi Achara, Chief Product Officer of Huge. 👂 Listen https://lnkd.in/ev-wns_c or 👀 Watch https://lnkd.in/e-5zuFc3 In this episode of 'That's What I Call Marketing,' I meet Chidi Achara and delve into his journey in the advertising and marketing world. The discussion kicks off with Chidi reflecting on his foundational years at renowned advertising agencies like Gray and BBH, where he learned valuable lessons about strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and relationship management. These skills were put to use while managing the Levi's account globally and contributing to the establishment of BBH New York. We cover Chidi’s shift to the client side with Nike, where he led a creative team to relaunch the iconic Cole Haan brand, aiming to attract a younger demographic. This diverse background culminated in Chidi landing into his current role as Chief Product Officer at Huge, where he focuses on integrating AI and technology to create 'intelligent experiences' that are highly personalised and conversational. The episode also touches on maintaining long-term client relationships, the shift toward outcome-based agency models, and the critical role of visionary leadership. We also discuss Chidi’s involvement with charity: water, an organisation I am a huge fan of since my time working in the nonprofit sector, and we cover their commitment to leveraging technology for transparency and impactful communication in the nonprofit sector. Throughout the discussion, themes of innovation, client-agency relationships, and the future of digital marketing are explored, making it a must-listen for anyone interested in the evolving landscape of advertising and technology. I loved this part of the latest Building A Legacy Series, for me it demonstrates a few things. (1) Commerciality Matters - and even big name sports stars like Ronan O'Gara' get that (2) Learning comes from anywhere - as Amy explains here, she was learning in her role at the time and it was actually the sports stars (and her heroes) that were helping her (3) Soundness Matters - how would you not love working with someone like Amy O'Shaughnessy, look at how she tells this story, the joy she gets and the joy she brings. This panel was filled with sound people Mary McGuire, Philip Greene & Jason Delany and they are doing great work. There are so many wonderful moments in this episode, filled with lots of insights from 3 brands at very different stages in their sponsorship journeys. 🥇 Going for Gold with Legacy Communications. Listen here https://lnkd.in/e3GpukkC or Watch here https://lnkd.in/eHfFg2Rs ⚽ 👟 🎽 Yes it is a summer of sports, so a perfect time to take a look at the role of sports sponsorship in the marketing mix with three brands at very different stages of their sponsorship journey. This episode features Mary McGuire, Head of Sponsorship at Legacy Communications, Philip Greene, Sponsorship Manager at PTSB, Amy O'Shaughnessy, Head of Brand at Energia Group and Jason Delany, Director of Brand, Product and Marketing at Staycity Group Aparthotels. There’s plenty of learnings and takeaways along the way whether you’re a big brand looking to explore the sponsorship market or a challenger brand looking to get involved. This is part three in the Building a Legacy Series with Legacy Communications.
