I am so proud to work alongside such talented, knowledgeable, and experienced global leaders.
Leadership development programs for senior leaders benefit from diverse perspectives and unique hands-on experiences. We wanted to break the mold of typical programming and developed a custom program to encourage our leaders have fun!
This past week we challenged ourselves to acknowledge perspectives different from our own through Burning Man inspired art installations and interactive light exhibits. We disarmed ourselves and embraced childlike, imaginative, and creative team building.
We had conversations around humble and shared leadership, identifying leaders who've inspired, mentored, and grew us.
We learned from our fearless leader Arun Kumar that vulnerability is a leadership trait that promotes trust and psychological safety in our teams, which drives innovation and collaboration across our businesses.
Alignment was another topic we revisited thoroughly. We acknowledged that alignment alone is not enough: dialogue, planning, commitment, execution and measurement are all complementary and necessary for alignment and realignment exercises.
We traveled to the Rocky Mountains and deepened our relationships and trust for one another by stepping up, stepping aside, and stepping back to allow our teammates to demonstrate leadership in some really fun activities that included rock climbing, puzzle solving, plank walks, and much more all in the beautiful outdoors. Our evenings were spent enjoying wonderful food and drinks, and more importantly learning about each other beyond our professional profiles.
We wrapped up our week with some notable exercises and discussions on collaboration and convergence. Our executive leadership team shared with us many nuggets of wisdom from their own leadership journeys, showing us that all of us as leaders can drive positive business outcomes AND be human-centric leaders.
At Acxiom, Kinesso and Matterkind, we value our talent and are committed to helping all learn and grow.
