CEO, Vytalize Health

At Vytalize Health, we believe that healthcare providers should be rewarded when patients are healthy vs. when they’re sick.         We believe in a healthcare system that not only provides high-quality care but also prioritizes access, affordability, and equity.        We believe that humanity has the science and technology to usher in an era of health abundance, and we’re dedicated to making this a reality by aligning interests across stakeholders.        That’s why I am thrilled to share our final 2022 ACO REACH results, where Vytalize generated an average cost savings of $1,343 per beneficiary, or a 7.7% gross savings rate. This ranks Vytalize among the top-performing REACH ACOs, and what we’re most proud of in these results comes from the standpoint of what is known as the Healthcare Triple Aim: reducing medical costs, improving quality and creating a better patient experience. Out of 78 Standard REACH ACOs, Vytalize was one of only five to be in the top quartile in each category: cost savings (83rd percentile), quality (82nd percentile) and patient experience (78th percentile).      We are now scaling these results to an estimated 450,000 attributed patients in 2024.       Vytalize’s care delivery model emphasizes empowered primary care providers, who we understand to be the foundation of a high-performing system of care. One of the things that makes Vytalize special within the provider-enablement landscape is that we started by building our own medical practice almost 10 years ago with a vision of a modernized care delivery system. We built our care delivery platform for ourselves and refined it over many years before offering it to other practices. As we continue to grow, we always come back to the one simple question it all started with: “How do we make healthcare work better?”        I want to take this opportunity to also congratulate CMS on a successful year for their newly redesigned ACO REACH program. We particularly appreciate CMS’ transparency and flexibility in the ACO REACH model, and were thrilled to see that the program resulted in net savings of $371.5 million – a more than fivefold increase from the prior year.       Looking ahead, I am excited about the future possibilities and opportunities to deliver on Vytalize’s mission and build upon these results. While we’re proud that we’re growing faster than any other ACO, we’re expanding on that growth and deepening our relationships with providers across the entire healthcare spectrum.     By definition, the impact of value-based care extends way beyond the bottom line – it touches the lives of countless individuals and families, enabling them to achieve better health and well-being.        Today, we are as committed as ever to our vision of being the best facilitator of people's healing through care that's personalized, evidence-based and kind.
