Yes! Studies across multiple specialties show that patients who feel heard and more involved in their treatment decision planning have higher levels of patient satisfaction and better outcomes. While #SharedDecisionMaking (SDM) is a very well-described concept, unfortunately, most physicians feel the approach takes too long, especially considering the increasing constraints on face-to-face time with patients. Digital health solutions that seamlessly integrate into the patient journey better prepare patients for their consultations, and provide 24/7 patient education and support outside the clinic.
