📢 Calling on all impact founders 📢 The ‘warm intro’. We all love a warm intro. Over the years we have built an amazing network of fellow VCs, advisors and founders who are able to introduce us to amazing investment opportunities. But – not everyone has a friend in VC, not everyone met an exited founder at a dinner party, not everyone lives in a part of the country where they can attend 10 events a week. Not everyone has access to the aforementioned ‘warm intro’. Are these things correlated to quality businesses and exceptional founders? We don’t think so! They are more correlated to socio-economic background – and it is part of our mission to do what we can to ensure that venture funding is available to all, regardless of background. The Conduit EIS fund invests in post-revenue, post-pilot UK based Seed and Series A businesses in Climate, Health, Education and Inclusion. We write £150-250k checks, and work with a group of family office and (U)HNWI investors whom we bring along with us. So - we don’t only love a warm intro, we also love cold outreach. If you would like to talk to us you don’t need to scan LinkedIn for a mutual contact, you don’t need to brainstorm ways to get our attention and you don’t need to bump into us at a conference. If you are a founder and this sounds like you - upload your deck here here https://lnkd.in/eTdWiR2N and tell us a little about your business model, your impact, your traction and what you are raising 💥 Do you know a founder who might fit our mandate? Why not tag them below? #impactinvesting #diversefounders #eisimpactfund #impactvc #venturecapital

Congratulations to Josephine Philips and the whole team at SOJO on their exciting partnership with Marks and Spencer! 👏 This collaboration is an exciting milestone on their journey to making clothing repair mainstream and enabling easy and accessible repairs for the masses! #circulareconomy #fashionrepair #sustainabilityinfashion
🗞 The news is out! 🗞 SOJO will be powering repairs for Marks and Spencer ! With big brands, comes big impact and my quote in this Industry.Fashion piece sums up my feelings perfectly: "It has always been a core mission of ours at SOJO to make repairing clothes mainstream and to extend the life of as many garments as possible. I’m so excited that M&S has chosen to launch a repair service with us at SOJO as it’s an incredibly big step towards that mission. As a brand that has remained a firm constant in almost every household and wardrobe in Britain, this partnership will truly bring easy, accessible and convenient repairs to the masses. Beyond that, as one of the longest standing British brands, having M&S join our Pledge to Repair adds such a great weight to our call for industry wide change here in the UK." Very excited for all the clothes we're going to fix. https://lnkd.in/e5-2426B Big thank you's to: Daniel Himsworth Aarthi Thangavel Sacha Spinas Roxanne Gates Katharine Beacham Nicola Foxen Simran Virk Jack Cunningham Emily Anders Chinazo Ufodiama for bringing this partnership to life.

Exciting news 🎉 The Conduit EIS Impact Fund is thrilled to announce our new portfolio company, Heatio, who have secured £2m in seed funding to drive net zero across UK homes. Decarbonising household energy is a huge and wicked problem - right now, 20% of all carbon emissions in the UK come from residential homes, and more if one includes cars. Heatio’s commitment to making renewable energy solutions affordable and accessible for everyone aligns perfectly with our fund’s vision for a sustainable future 🌍🔋 This funding enables Heatio to launch its Energy as a Service (EaaS) subscription platform to help homeowners overcome the initial capital costs associated with retrofitting low-carbon technologies, such as heat pumps, solar panels and storage batteries. Using machine learning and AI, Heatio is able to manage these multiple energy assets to optimise usage in homes without a human in the loop, which enables a reduction in energy costs for consumers 💡 🏡 Congratulations to Simon Roberts, Thomas Farquhar and the entire team on this latest milestone in your journey. We are delighted to support Heatio alongside, Ascension, Baltic Ventures, SyndicateRoom, and LYVA Labs. We are pleased to share that Heatio has successfully secured £2 million in investment, marking a significant milestone in our mission to make clean energy more accessible and affordable. The oversubscribed investment round, supported by Brabners, was led by Ascension, with support from a number of co-investors, including Conduit Connect , SyndicateRoom, Baltic Ventures, LYVA Labs, and deep tech investor Neil Norman. The investment will be used to expand the Heatio team, launch version 2 of the Heatio Flexx app and scale the onboarding process for new customers. We would like to extend our appreciation to every investor for helping us get where we are today.
