Nearly 200 pediatric patients received a wrapped, age-appropriate gift from Santa, thanks to Moroney’s efforts, as well as a children’s book and a new toothbrush. Generous donations included over 400 new books and 300 gently used books donated by Barnes & Noble Booksellers.Moroney’s riders set off from their shop at 833 Union Avenue in New Windsor and arrived at The Health Center at 147 Lake Street shortly before noon, complete with a police escort and fire truck filled with donated toys. Santa rode in on the fire truck and greeted the children as he arrived at the Health Center. Volunteers from the community and employees read to children while they waited to meet with Santa. Nearly 40 GHVFHC and Moroney’s volunteers worked together.
