In the last days there will be many troubles, 1 Peter 5:8-10(KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Wickedness is not new. And that is because all human beings have the flesh. However, the differences are in the ability to control the flesh. There are spiritual people, and people of the world, and the best way to make accurate comparisons is by looking at the manner in which different people live their lives. Unfortunately, you will notice that some christians have never even been to church in a long time, not because there is no church they can go to, but because they are lazy. And for some people, they are able to buy bundles for all the dirty sites and movies, but they can't watch a full online sermon about God. We are in the last days where people esteem God to the lowest that they prefer sinning over His Word. Some people have no knowledge of God that sin doesn't exist to them. We are now living in a generation where people are proudly prostituting, committing adultery, incest, drinking, smoking, stealing, killing, etc. Not to end there, some elderly people that have lived for many years are mentally and physically abusing their own children by taking advantage of them to molest them because of their corruptness and high levels of immortality. That you deliver us from all manners of evil and wickedness. Father, we pray that our generation will not walk in wickedness and calamities that come with it, in the name of Jesus, Amen!

125 years ago today - Apr 25, 1899; Tuesday Brother Franklin S. Richards, one of the Church attorneys, had an interview with the First Presidency regarding the corporations existing in the various Stakes and Wards for the purpose of holding the properties thereof. The object of the interview was to ascertain the mind of the Presidency upon the multiplying of these corporations as new Stakes and Wards might be organized. Brother Richards represented how burdensome they appeared to many of the brethren, not only from the expense attending their creation, but from the keeping of them up in order to maintain their legal status; and he suggested a much cheaper and easier form of organization, namely, a trusteeship for the holding of the properties. After fully considering both sides of the question, and conceding the merit of Brother Richards' suggestion, the Presidency deemed it best, as a matter of precaution and in view of the hostile sentiment that was again rising and which might culminate in the passage of an anti-Mormon amendment to the Constitution, to keep up the corporations already organized and form new ones as they might be required. Brother L. John Nuttall, whose business it is to see that these corporations are kept up, was called in and informed of this decision and given appropriate instructions. Baribiae Peter Nwadike 28 May 2024 | Message taken from Isaiah 55:11 (AMPC) Isaiah 55:11 (AMPC), “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” It’s really important for our words to align with what God’s Word says, because what God says, He always accomplishes. It’s pointless to receive the answer for what we are praying for, and then speak contrary to that answer in our prayers and conversations. Isaiah 55:10-11 tells us that as we speak God’s Word, like well-watered seed, it will produce whatever it says. When we speak words that contradict His Word, we literally uproot that good seed, preventing it from producing! The greatest opposition to the Word producing the answers we need, is when our reasoning gets in the way of our faith, and we speak out the wrong things. Mark 9:23 says all things are possible to him who believes. Even if we don’t necessarily understand how it works, whatever God’s Word promises is possible, when we believe it. For instance, the Word says that through faith in Jesus, we have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness, into the kingdom of light. We may not understand how this is even possible - but we believe it! Through us believing and confessing it - we experience it! We certainly don’t go around saying things like, “Well, I’m not sure I’m completely out of the devil’s kingdom because at times I just don’t feel saved.” We don’t base our salvation on what we feel - we base it on the truth of what God’s Word says. Even if at first, we don’t fully understand how God’s Word can work what it says in our lives, we have to believe it, and speak in agreement with it, for it to come to pass. Determine to never speak in opposition to the Word, because you would be speaking in opposition to God (1 John 1:1). Liberia's Tough Times and Hope By Pastor Alexander L. Redd June 11, 2024 Liberia's frequent periods of unrest indicate progress and hope. Just as God has helped us through personal challenges in the past, He is preparing us for a brighter future. Biblical examples show that God often shakes things before they get better, giving me hope for Liberia's future. Liberia has faced many tragedies, including political and social unrest, cultural decline, the Ebola virus, and the COVID-19 pandemic. I see these events as part of God's plan and purpose. Liberia's problems arise from our intentional disobedience to God's will, just like in other countries. The key to a new and vibrant Liberia lies in our genuine repentance and commitment to follow God's will. The Bible teaches that God's children often face challenging circumstances that test their faith. Instead of seeing these trials as obstacles, we should view them as opportunities for our faith to grow. Just as God prepared the Israelites for the Promised Land through trials, He may be preparing Liberia for something new. God orchestrates everything with a purpose, even the trials we face in Liberia. Our strong faith and belief in His plan will guide us through these trials and strengthen us for the new beginning that awaits. Trials are a way for God to redirect our focus toward Him and prepare us for a fresh start. He might inspire us to make a positive impact on our nation. Our strength and resilience come from our commitment to do what is right in God's eyes and our unity. When we work together, we can bring about real change, and this unity will lead us to a brighter future and strengthen our bond as a nation. Our faith will be tested in these times of tribulation, but we can overcome it if we stand firm and trust God's plan and purpose. Through collective effort and unity, we can rise above these challenges. Let us remember the lessons we have learned from our past. We must unite as a nation, guided by our faith in God, and strive to build a better and more powerful Liberia - a shining example of peace, fairness, and equal opportunities. Now is the time to turn our trials into triumphs. Our collective responsibility and unity will pave the way for a brighter future for Liberia, filled with hope and promise. May God guide us through the dark times and lead us to a brighter future. Let us accept God's purpose for Liberia and come together to create a new era of prosperity, unity, and peace. With collective effort, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way. We will find strength, reassurance, and direction in this trust and faith. We can rise above political instability and economic and cultural decline and create a prosperous Liberia with God's blessings and glory. Remember, God has a plan for Liberia and each of us. Ekandjo’s push for anti-gaybills stir up a storm: Political analyst Ndumba Kamwanyah has questioned Swapo back bencher Jerry Ekandjo’s priorities in the National Assembly after the lawmaker last week demanded an explanation from the presidency on why his anti-gay bills are not yet signed into law. Ekandjo questioned why the president has not given his private bills attention eight months after they were passed by parliament. Kamwanyah says he is not so much worried about what Ekandjo had to say, but rather how parliament has been reacting to this. “In this case, these bills were tabled by Ekandjo as private bills so I don’t know how much detail they went through, including to make sure it is not in violation of our Constitution. Because the bills themselves are rooted in hatred, so the question here is do we want our parliament to legislate hatred? “I’m not only concerned about Ekandjo. We know he can be theatrical but I’m concerned with the speed in which they sailed through the National Assembly. I’m wondering what type of debate went into these bill that borders hatred. When parliament is [drafting] bills, it must enhance dignity and human rights, anything to the contrary is dangerous.” Kamwanyah added that other bills or motions in parliament are not passed as quickly. Ekandjo’s private member’s bills sailed through the National Assembly and the National Council unopposed last year. “Once the youth unemployment motion was brought to parliament, we didn’t see the veracity and speed to discuss that issue. Which is some sort of a contradiction,” he said. Human rights activist Omar van Heerden echoed Kamwanyah’s sentiments, saying parliamentarians should be spotlighted in this matter inasmuch as Ekandjo is. “If I could have seen such pro-activeness on matters like unemployment, gender-based violence and others, we would have been in such a better place if our members of parliament (MPs) acted like this in regards to social issues. Namibians care about bread and butter issues and none of our parliamentarians are reacting to that. “It is actually our MPs that are homophobic. They are inciting hate and they are inciting violence. It says that they are out of touch with the Namibian people and what their issues are.” MBUMBA’S DISCRETION Lawyer Werner Boesak said the president has the discretion to refuse to sign bills under certain conditions. Boesak told The Namibian the president can seek legal advice on the constitutionality of the bills, depending on the outcome, and refuse to sign the bills. “I think we must start with article 56, which gives clear guidelines on when the president is obliged to sign. In such circumstances, the president’s discretion is limited. If that is the case, then the president might refuse because it amounts to a constitutional infringement and one might expect that the courts will uphold that part of the Constitution. But if the…
