As researcher Jim Knight says, video will help you get a clear picture of your current reality. A video of yourself in action allows you to shift away from depending on your (very biased) memory of the events and toward a deep understanding of what actually happened. Watching yourself on video isn't just a good idea, it's backed by decades of research.

Align your interests with the person who is offering feedback by becoming an active participant in the process. Ask... Did they understand your message? Were they engaged with your message? What's one thing they'd change to improve your message? Get the truth (as they see it) and not an emotional pat-on-the-back.
