🌲The investments we make today will be critical to mitigating wildfire risks in Colorado for years to come. 🌲 Recently, one of our AI-powered cameras played a critical role in the early detection and containment of a wildfire near Bear Creek in Douglas County. Pano AI wildfire detection cameras pinpointed a small fire from a lightning strike in the Bennett Mountain area. Within minutes, emergency service crews responded to the remote site, containing the fire to a small area. When rushing water from the Blue Earth River swept an entire power substation downriver, damaging a dam and causing significant hardship for the Rapidan community, our crews jumped into action. When an emergency strikes, being prepared, prioritizing safety and working together quickly matters. Recently we collaborated with White Bear Lake’s Fire Department in Minnesota to train teams on how to respond to a crisis in our communities. More than a dozen crews worked in simulated, real-life scenarios—from natural gas leaks to downed power lines. Working alongside our emergency responders is key to ensuring public safety in dangerous situations.
