Monday marked my 17th year at the helm of Washingtonian. Back in 2007, when I started I had two children under the age of two and had just lost my father. The prospect of enduring even one year seemed dauntingly improbably. It has not been easy. Yet, against the odds, and with the help and advice and support of so so many people, here we stand! And while I often post our fun event pictures, so much of those years have been spent like this photo: in conference rooms working with an exceptional management team. Challenges always persist - especially in the changing media landscape - however, reflecting on the work we've created I'm filled with immense pride and gratitude. ❤️
