Congratulations to Umesh Upreti on his 15th anniversary with Tower. He's an integral part of the IT department and we're proud to have him on the team.
On November 13th, Tower was able to energize the 130 kW solar array with 477 panels on top of Blair East Apartments in Silver Spring. It is estimated that this array should produce about 200,000 kWh annually, which, in terms of carbon savings, is equivalent to the amount of carbon sequestered by over 160 acres of US forests annually. Special thanks goes to Tower's Property Management and Engineering teams at Blair East, who managed several power shutoffs in order to complete the work, and to the many people who helped coordinate the work with PEPCO and the solar installation company, including the Construction, Legal, and Sustainability departments.
