Our mission is to educate, empower, and enrich our males.
About us
The overarching goal for The Gentlemen’s League Mentoring program is to reduce suspension rates, and to improve student achievement and increase graduation rates, which will ultimately decrease the juvenile violent crime rates for homicide, assault, and violent behavior. The Gentlemen's League seeks to educate its members through: Mentorship: One on one and peer mentoring Workshops: Session topics include- Etiquette, Dressing for Success, Self-Image, Conflict Resolution, Chivalry, Building Healthy Relationships, Financial Literacy, and Leadership Development just to name a few. Tutoring: Students will receive tutoring to assist them with their academics and in preparation for end of grade exams. Book Clubs: Students will have the opportunity to participate in a book study with members to increase literacy and teach character to the gentlemen. The Gentlemen's League seeks to empower its members through: Ambassador Program: Students will serve as ambassadors to the school, and school district. As an Ambassador, you may be asked to: Assist with New Open House and Parent sessions, serve as “buddies” to new students, help out with other opportunities as they arise throughout the school year Rewards/Incentive Program: Students will receive recognition for attaining good grades. Fresh Friday's: Students will dress up bi-weekly on Fridays with a tie to lead by example to their peers. The Gentlemen's League seeks to enrich its members through: Community Service: Students will be involved in service learning in which they will perform community service. Fieldtrips: The Gentlemen’s League strives to increase exposure and opportunities for our participants. One way to do this is to participate in fieldtrips. Extracurricular Activities (Step Team): Students will have the opportunity to express themselves through the form of stepping.
