Ellen chatted with Memphis elementary school principal Archie Moss Jr., who does everything he can for the 600 students at his Title 1 school. From providing school supplies to reading bedtime stories, Archie has helped the school go from the bottom rankings to one of the top-performing schools in the state. He talked with Ellen about his dedication to his school family, the letter he wrote to his community following the Black Lives Matter protests, and how it’s been a challenge for students and staff during quarantine, since many kids don’t have access to technology at home. To help, Ellen and her friends at Box Tops for Education gave Principal Moss a gift to remember.

This is a hard task for one teacher to be able to handle during the school day.
