  • THANK YOU TO OUR BOARD CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR! Since 2016, Mayor Brenda F. Moore and Dr. Barbara Jones have served on the Board of Directors for the Saginaw County Community Action Committee. Recently, our Board Chair, Brenda Moore, decided it was time to pass the torch to others to serve. "The time is now, I believe in this agency and the good it does for the community. I've served in this position for over 8 years and now I believe it's time to let someone else take it further", said Moore. The agency is grateful for her service. Although she has stepped down as the Board Chair, she will remain on the board as a committed trustee and voice of wisdom as the agency presses ahead. Also, Dr. Barbara Jones served as the Vice Chair and Committee Chair for the Personnel Committee for many years. Her expertise and wisdom have positively impacted the agency and we'll always be indebted to her time of service. Effective in July 2024, she will be retiring from the board and will focus on other areas in the community. We are thankful for her service!

  • Excited to this Minority Business Development and Training being facilitated by Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce!

Momentum is picking up speed in 2024! Last night we hosted the second session of the year with a focus on budgeting. Just like personal finances, small business finances need special attention. Our guest speaker, Dionne Minner, Talent Advisor with Chameleon Group, spoke with our participants about being strategic when it comes to budgeting. Each session is facilitated by Tarsha Works with Tarsha Works Consulting, as well as Eugene Seals, Jr., the Chamber's Director of Member and Sponsor Sales. 🔗If you'd like to learn more about Momentum, our minority and women-owned business mentorship program, follow this link: https://lnkd.in/g2VMhK_X
