He was in a motorcycle accident at 17 and has been a quadriplegic for almost 40 years. After his accident he attended art school at Augsburg but wasn’t able to graduate due to transportation issues. He continued to paint off and on for the next few years but eventually put the paint brushes away. Fast forward 30 years and he decided to “bite the brush” once again. It has developed into painting the beauty of the world around us that we are often too busy looking down to see. I am awed by his determination to try again. 🍂 November is National Home Care & Palliative Care Month🧡 💡Fun Fact: Regency is just one of approximately 12,000 home care agencies that exist in the United States! We’d like to acknowledge that we stand in solidarity with organizations like NHPCO and NAHC in support and praise of administrators, clinicians, social workers, nurses, doctors, PCAs, physical, occupational, & respiratory therapists, along with so many more. We honor all those (including our employees!) who provide care day in and day out to some of the most vulnerable patients and who make it possible for them to receive that important care in their very own homes. No job in health care is easy, but fulfilling these roles for this specific type of care requires a unique skillset to endure the emotional and physical demands that can come along with it.
