About us
We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to making education better by promoting trans-disciplinary, problem-based STEM learning. The challenge, though, is that “better” is different for everyone. We see this challenge as an opportunity. We approach educational improvement from an anthropological perspective. Collectively, PAST anthropologists have over a hundred years of experience studying the complex structure of societies and their interactions, and use this expertise to understand clients’ needs. In other words, we get you. The combination of anthropology and STEM is a powerful one. We have guided entire feeder systems in their transitions to STEM learning to see remarkable improvement in a few short years, and have helped educational organizations streamline their processes to reach more students with fewer resources. We've also partnered with community organizations around the country to reach thousands of students with the concepts of problem-based, trans-disciplinary learning.

We had a blast across three different locations during the month of June for our Summer Programs! Students got to be Bold at the PAST Innovation Lab, Curious at Mezzacello and KIPP Columbus and were Fearless out at CAS. Throughout the month, students dove into 3D Printing, Robotics, Agriculture, and the arts through various summer camps. We will be closed next week for the Fourth of July to give our staff and students a break! We can’t wait to see what students get to explore in July! #ThisIsPAST

We had a fantastic time at the Columbus Air Show! The #STEM exhibitor tent was buzzing with activities as future pilots, engineers, and coders joined us for hands-on fun. The Ozobots stole the show! Watching kids faces light up as they programmed these tiny robots was pure joy. We challenged them to guide their Ozobots through various "runways" and "taxiways" while learning aviation terminology along the way. A huge thanks to the Columbus Air Show for hosting us and sparking so many young minds. We're excited to continue fostering STEM dreams and passions. 🚀
