Faced with the challenge of upward mobility in a career but also keeping one without her high school diploma, Natalie Pinales turned to her local library for help. There, she met Jamissa (Jami) Kaye Ellis, the library’s program director and literacy coordinator, who introduced her to the Gale Presents: Excel Adult High School program.
