We are proud to announce that Onsite Women’s Health Chief Financial Officer, Michael McCooey, has been named a Nashville Men Wear Pink 2024 Ambassador by the American Cancer Society. His decision to join this meaningful cause was influenced by a personal experience he witnessed just last year. A family member – under the age of 40 – was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy. Witnessing their bravery and resilience spurred Michael into action. By participating in 'Men Wear Pink', Michael aims to raise awareness, support research and contribute to a future where breast cancer is no longer a threat to our loved ones. Together, we can make a significant impact and work towards a world free from breast cancer. Learn more and help Michael reach his fundraising goal by sharing or donating to his campaign today! https://lnkd.in/eVu_2x5E. #OnsiteWomens #MenWearPink #BreastCancerAwareness #MenWearPinkNashville #AmericanCancerCociety #AmericanCancerSocietyTN

Dedicated to care. Kelly Newton, research and development data analyst for Onsite Women’s Health, is committed to improving women’s healthcare. Kelly recently made the decision to make even more of an impact in the lives of those she serves by obtaining certification as a breast cancer patient navigator – a vital role in the breast cancer journey managing what patients go through on a daily basis. After receiving her certification from the NCBC National Consortium of Breast Centers, Kelly now also serves as a breast cancer patient navigator at Onsite, where she strives to give patients access to timely care, addresses barriers they may face and links them to vital resources. “Obtaining my Breast Navigator Certification gives me the opportunity to offer a different level of support, guidance and quality care to our patients,” says Kelly. “To be able to offer this service to our patients makes my role in their care journey that much more meaningful.” Please join us in congratulating Kelly for achieving this certification – and, for her ongoing source of support for the patients and practices she serves. #OnsiteWomens #FacesOfOnsite #BreastCancerPatientNavigator #BreastCancer

Today is #Juneteenth – also known as National Freedom Day – and is a celebration and reminder of the official end of slavery in the United States. In observance of Juneteenth, Onsite Women's Health is taking time to reflect on how we — as individuals, as a community and as an organization — can move forward to achieve lasting change, which is ultimately a part of our journey toward a healthier, more equitable future. #HealthEquity #DEI

Onsite Women’s Health is a company made of incredible people dedicated to improving women’s healthcare. Meet Benjamin Downs, MBA, a champion in the fight against breast cancer. As part of the business development team at Onsite Women’s Health, Benjamin is keen on making in-office breast health and imaging services more accessible for patients. Covering territories from Tennessee to California, he engages and works together with Primary Care and OBGYN practices to increase patient compliance related to breast cancer screening and identify more cancers in its early stages. “Making mammography as convenient and accessible as possible drives breast cancer screening compliance, which ultimately saves lives,” says Benjamin. “This is what motivates me every day and why I’m proud to work for Onsite Women’s Health. We’re saving lives together.” When Benjamin isn’t making an impact in the breast cancer community, he’s investing in the lives of those who have been affected by cancer. “I began mentoring a 7-year-old boy in 2008 who lost his father to cancer a year earlier through Walk With Sally (WWS) – a charity foundation based in Los Angeles, California,” shares Ben. “The premise with WWS is that they match up a child who has either lost a parent to cancer or is fighting cancer with a mentor who has a similar cancer story/experience. I lost my uncle to cancer when I was seven and my father battled cancer from 2008 until he passed away the day after Christmas 2019. This qualified me to be a WWS mentor and I jumped right in.” Thank you, Benjamin, for sharing your story and for your dedication to raising awareness of the importance of early detection. This National Cancer Survivors Day® – a day to recognize cancer survivors and celebrate life – we honor our patients and survivors who have faced the challenges of this disease. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, except for skin cancers. Accounting for approximately 30% (or 1in 3) of all new female cancers each year, early detection through mammogram screening significantly improves the chances of survival. Join us as we celebrate life and raise awareness of the importance of early detection.
