Onsite Women’s Health is a company made of incredible people dedicated to improving women’s healthcare. Meet Benjamin Downs, MBA, a champion in the fight against breast cancer. As part of the business development team at Onsite Women’s Health, Benjamin is keen on making in-office breast health and imaging services more accessible for patients. Covering territories from Tennessee to California, he engages and works together with Primary Care and OBGYN practices to increase patient compliance related to breast cancer screening and identify more cancers in its early stages. “Making mammography as convenient and accessible as possible drives breast cancer screening compliance, which ultimately saves lives,” says Benjamin. “This is what motivates me every day and why I’m proud to work for Onsite Women’s Health. We’re saving lives together.” When Benjamin isn’t making an impact in the breast cancer community, he’s investing in the lives of those who have been affected by cancer. “I began mentoring a 7-year-old boy in 2008 who lost his father to cancer a year earlier through Walk With Sally (WWS) – a charity foundation based in Los Angeles, California,” shares Ben. “The premise with WWS is that they match up a child who has either lost a parent to cancer or is fighting cancer with a mentor who has a similar cancer story/experience. I lost my uncle to cancer when I was seven and my father battled cancer from 2008 until he passed away the day after Christmas 2019. This qualified me to be a WWS mentor and I jumped right in.” Thank you, Benjamin, for sharing your story and for your dedication to raising awareness of the importance of early detection.
