A new month and another Oakley store opening! The Oakley Store at Ala Moana center reopened in the beginning of May with Store Manager, Yaya Watson leading the charge! To mark this special occasion, retail hosted a live DJ and welcomed local surf sensation Bettylou Sakura Johnson and Legend Chandler for a moderated panel session and Q&A. In addition, as a real life testament to our commitment to local talent, we partnered with acclaimed Hawaii based muralist Eric Karbeling, who created bespoke custom designs on Oakley hard eyewear cases as a gift with purchase.

This past weekend, Oakley sponsored a 30-mile group ride to and from Strictly Cycles elevating the Q36.5 collaboration. The event was open to the public and included the GoodGuys NYC team. Attendees had the opportunity to demo new Sphera and Bisphera models. Multiple riders were provided some fun complimentary gifts like our apparel kits, new helmets, and sunglasses. 🚲🚦👓 The event was exhilarating, and we ended it with a fun after party to celebrate the ride with our big group of riders!

We sat down with Rachel Shirley at our Tampa, FL store, where she shared her inspiring story in her own words and shared what pride means to her. “Pride, to me, is a powerful affirmation of self-love and acceptance.
