SJI congratulates Steven Cocchi, senior vice president and chief financial officer, on being elected to the Stockton University Foundation board of directors! An accomplished leader, Steven is a member of the Public Utility Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the State Affairs Committee of the American Gas Association and serves on the board of trustees of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. Steven has been elected alongside Sage Del Valle, co-founder and CEO of Differnt Systems, a technology consulting, development and implementation firm. The Stockton University Foundation is an independent organization comprised of community leaders, Stockton alumni and other friends and supporters, whose sole mission is to support the philanthropic needs of Stockton University. The Foundation supports many programs, student groups, faculty projects and other initiatives, and awards more than $1 million in annual scholarship support. Shoutout to Our Stevedores and Local 18! A massive THANK YOU to our incredible stevedores and Local 18 for their tremendous effort in handling nearly 70,000 MT of steel in this intense heat! Over the past week, our dedicated crews worked tirelessly to discharge and manage cargo from the New London Eagle, Solidarnosc, and Elegant Emilie vessels. Our terminal is overflowing with steel cargo during what is typically our slow season! Despite this, our amazing team is handling the immense workload with unmatched dedication and resilience. Tim Hillmann, who currently serves as Gov. Phil Murphy’s principal deputy chief of staff, will assume the role of chief of staff left vacant by Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, who has resigned and is moving to a new role as a senior adviser. “Tim has been a key member of my team since 2019 and has successfully overseen our legislative affairs, intergovernmental affairs, appointments and constituent relations teams, among other departments,” Murphy said. “I am excited to have him lead our team in the Governor’s Office and advance our mission of building a stronger, fairer and more affordable New Jersey.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gsrFWkFD
