Congratulations to the 2023-24 NACUBO Fellows who successfully completed their Fellows journey at the annual meeting in Chicago! Over the past year, the Fellows worked together and with higher education leaders to deepen their understanding of the chief business officer role, to explore their own leadership skills, and to examine how veteran chief business officers have addressed institutional and professional challenges. As NACUBO President and CEO Kara Freeman, CAE said to annual meeting attendees, "I have spent time with these Fellows, and I have to tell you-- the future is bright!" We are excited to share the NACUBO Student Success Hub, a compilation of free toolkits and resources to promote the strategic financing of equitable student outcomes. “In my mind, there is no issue more pressing in higher education than student success, and we at NACUBO are proud to be spearheading efforts to fully integrate student success initiatives with institution-wide finance plans,” said Kara Freeman, CAE, NACUBO president and chief executive officer. The NACUBO Student Success Hub is a result of more than two years of discovery and design work in close partnership with 26 higher education institutions. This week Kara Freeman, CAE and the NACUBO staff gathered for our June homecoming and our first "Homecoming on the Hill." Our visit to the Capitol included a discussion of the importance of advocacy, the value of higher education, and the challenges facing students and institutions today with Maryland Congressman Glenn Ivey and AASCU's John Patrick Walsh. We greatly enjoyed being together, and we look forward to seeing our members at our upcoming annual meeting in Chicago, July 20-23.
