The goal for USTDA and the Colombian delegation is to understand best practice public procurement using the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST) as a case study. In addition to best value procurement, this study tour will drive discussions around inclusion, diversity, and small businesses engagement. MHEC is a purchasing consortium that serves educational not-for-profits across New England, including higher education institutions. Our diverse portfolio of ready-to-use contracts are compliant with state and local bidding requirements. This saves colleges and universities time and money. Whether it’s building maintenance, keeping dorms and classrooms well stocked, or finding the supplies and services that staff and professors need for daily operations, MHEC has contracts especially designed and regularly updated to meet the needs of all institutions of higher learning. In addition to contracts that include the basics, such as furniture, flooring, windows, signage, and building maintenance, we keep libraries well stocked with books and software, and laboratories working with science equipment and custom cabinetry. On September 21, 2023, MHEC will hold our annual EXPO at the DCU in Worcester. Nearly 200 of our contracted suppliers will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate their products and services. Whether you’re looking for dormitory furniture, or advanced air filtering options, there will be something for everyone. We hope you’ll join us. Not a member?
