About us
The Loudoun Education Foundation focuses on making connections with individuals, organizations and local businesses interested in supporting educational programs within Loudoun County Public Schools and identying the programs that need funding. The focus is on identifying and supporting programs that will enhance the educational experience our children receive during their time in our schools and investing in our teachers and administrators as they seek a higher level of educational excellence. Recognition and rewards are a critical component of achieving excellence and as such one of the Foundation’s key roles is to celebrate those individuals when they achieve such success.

When you think of education supplies, you may not immediately think of hygiene products 🧼 But what if you didn't have basic necessities like soap, deodorant, or a toothbrush? All of a sudden, the task of going to school feels a lot harder. We want to make it easy for students to have their basic needs met, and you can help! This summer is a great time to host a hygiene drive for our Fueled⚡️ in-school pantries, so Loudoun County Public Schools students can learn with dignity this year. BEAM is back! ♾️ Loudoun County Public Schools' Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics program begins next week, serving 180 seventh- and eighth-grade students. Four years ago, LEF helped bring on funding partners, such as The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, to launch BEAM in Loudoun County. Now, it's an annual summer program that equips middle school students to excel in advanced mathematics.

Teens from P.A.S.T.A (Peers and Students Taking Action) exemplified their passion for service and dedication to developing leadership skills when they worked to collect and donate over 660 pounds of non-perishables and $450 to support food security for their peers at Loudoun County Public Schools! Fueled is thrilled to highlight this local student-run nonprofit led by the simple mission of “kids helping kids in the community.” Thank you so much, P.A.S.T.A., for ensuring a plentiful in-school pantry distribution, and stocked to respond to summer support requests! 🙌 This sets us up for success at the start of next school year. Can we come to your next anniversary banquet? We heard something about ‘delicious pasta and a candy bar’ 😉 P.A.S.T.A. - Congratulations on another school year down in the books! We ❤️ the recent Loudoun Now Op-Ed penned by our long-time friend and supporter Karen Schaufeld. "We can [lend extra support] by helping to extend the Loudoun County Public Schools student social, emotional learning and mental health initiatives. "Starting in our elementary and middle schools, LCPS and its partners offer social-emotional learning. "For example, A Place To Be and LEF implement a series of musical performances designed to help younger students learn to be kind and classroom curriculum supports this capability. They also learn how to be respectful to one another." Thanks for the spotlight, Karen! 🙌 Good read on the impact that LEF can have with the help of our partners at 100WomenStrong and A Place to Be!
