I’ve been on the Board of Directors for Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) for a long time now, yet every year when we do our annual retreat, it’s a wonderful occasion where I learn something new. This organization truly serves all people, including our most vulnerable, in Williamson County and across Our State. We all know quality healthcare is hard to find, especially for the Medicaid population. I believe the reason why LSSC can do this at such a high level is due to the quality people it has on its board and staff. It’s always important to reflect on the work being accomplished and what is being achieved. Glad to have retreats like this one to take time and focus on what we can do better as a FQHC in service to All Texans.

Lone Star Circle of Care joined community partners last week at Austin Public Health's Blackland Neighborhood Center for the 26th Annual Pre-Juneteenth Education & Wellness Fair! Our Big Pink Bus team members, self-dubbed “The Ice Pack Ladies”, shared information about our mobile mammography services. They also handed out swag, including cold gel ice packs—perfect for the Texas summer heat! We are proud to participate in such a meaningful event!

Congratulations to Dr. Suneela Cherlopalle, Associate Medical Director of Psychiatry, for being honored with the Psychiatry "Outstanding Faculty Award" by the class of 2024 students at Texas A&M University School of Medicine - Round Rock!
