Public Relations and Communications Services

Our best bet for attention and engagement is to become a part of other people’s stories.

About us

We are a public relations firm specializing in corporate and consumer campaigns for clients across the Latin American region. Our fundamental belief: in a world of big data and automation, the ability to connect with people, to inform and persuade them of a particular point of view through relationships, evidence and discussion is more important to businesses than ever. Our expertise is based on earned influence – the ability to consistently convey a message on behalf of our clients to generate a response. The latter may involve a belief, a call to action, a new consideration or simply increased awareness. Our clients’ audiences range from consumers and employees, to business partners and local regulators. We are passionate about and absolutely committed to the region, whose societies and cultures are so diverse and whose economy is growing but which, from a PR agency perspective, remains perennially under-served. From the bustle of Mexico City to the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro, from the peace dividend in Colombia, to Chile’s start-up mentality, we believe that Latin America should represent more than a ‘line item’ next to ‘out of pockets’ on the global PR plan! Our experience from multiple developed and emerging markets brings an operating model that can exploit all the nuances of each market, in a systematic, cost-effective, consistent manner for brands wherever they are based. We don’t simply assume that our audiences’– whether they be consumers, employees, investors, business partners or regulators – are necessarily interested or aware of our clients’ propositions. The fundamental currency for this interest is ‘relevance’, we need to demonstrate the meaning and purpose of our clients’ particular message to their audiences’ lives. We do this by listening to them and understanding their interests, concerns and priorities; our task is then to connect our clients’ brands to the same. This is the essence of the ‘intersect’.

According to #Latinometrics, the Dominican Republic welcomed over 10 million tourists in 2023, nearly as many as its 11 million citizens. This makes one of the smallest countries in Latin America the second-largest tourist destination. I wanted to find out not only what the secret to their success is, but also what LatAm brands can learn from it. 🎯 Targeted Investment The DR’s government has fostered a business-friendly environment by funding critical infrastructure projects and aligning them with tourism growth. Most importantly, they see the two as interrelated - there's no point building a luxury resort if the airport and roads leading to it are in disrepair. ♟️ Strategic Marketing The government’s tourism ministry has achieved impressive results through a well-defined marketing strategy. By identifying and then targeting diverse groups—from digital nomads to eco-tourists and high-net-worth individuals—they have both recognised and adapted to changing tourism trends. 📢 Listening and Responding to Audience Feedback In response to a spate of tourist-related incidents in 2019, the DR reacted promptly by raising standards for hotels and police services. This focus has positioned it among the safest Latin American destinations, comparable to European countries like France, Germany, and Italy. I was thinking about how practices like these can be applied in different situations and markets. That's why I wanted to bring this information, because more than anything, it generates good reflection.

When it comes to #shopping, it's not just about what you buy, but also largely about the experience and the inspiration that the environment provides. As consumers continue to rely on online shopping, the experience has lost its charm and has essentially become a chore. Pinterest, however, differentiates itself from other online shopping platforms because it creates an experience based on #inspiration, with the understanding that consumers crave the unexpected. According to #Pinterest, 97% of top searches on the platform are non-branded, which means that people go there looking for something specific but not a #brand in particular—they want to be inspired by the ideas they find. And those ideas spark a desire to shop. Is your brand making the most of Pinterest's inspiration-based #ShoppingExperience?

#CGI technology + #newsjacking to tell a brand’s story. Good #communication strategies are all about the audience and their interests, mixed with a pinch of #creativity. When engaging with your audience, the #POV must always prioritize their perspective. This is the key to staying ahead of the competition. Caudalie is going viral on #TikTok by leveraging CGI to seamlessly join trending conversations. #Kudos to them for promoting their services without it feeling like unwanted content. Brands, take note! #OlympicGamesParis2024

In today's phygital age, influencers have become powerful catalysts for successful product and service launches. But what is the key to effectively integrating them into your next communication campaign? Here are a few things we've learned. Recently, we launched a food delivery service for one of our clients, and influencers played a pivotal role in its success. Alongside a robust press strategy and a standout launch event that invited influencers and journalists alike, their contribution was indispensable. Just imagine: you're preparing to unveil the next big thing. You crave buzz, excitement, and engagement that makes your likes soar faster than you can refresh your feed. Influencers, when used in concert with your other strategic tools, can provide that extra step that takes your campaign from media coverage directly into people's conversations. But what distinguishes influencers from other parts of our PR & Comms strategies? It's not merely their ability to strike poses or master filters. It's their authenticity and genuine connection with their audience. When an influencer recommends your service, their words carry the weight of a friend's suggestion rather than a manufactured brand endorsement. We believe the key to a successfully integrated launch lies in selecting influencers who resonate with your target demographic while empowering them to work their magic within a cohesive communication campaign. By partnering with the right influencers, you can transform a launch into a resounding success—this is not just a marketing tall tale but a proven strategy. Are your campaigns achieving this level of impact? If not, isn't it time you considered what you are missing? LatAm Intersect PR

#GenZ, the most socially savvy generation, is increasingly stepping away from #SocialMedia due to feelings of sadness, anxiety, and depression, with 41% reporting negative emotions from these platforms, according to a recent survey by #Origin. Although many recognize the benefits of social media, they are more likely to disengage from content that makes them feel insecure. For #brands, this shift underscores the importance of adopting human-centered strategies that prioritize #personalization and genuinely understand users' needs and desires. By taking a more human approach, brands can build genuine connections and address the emotional challenges their audience faces, while also seizing the opportunity to engage the 77% who believe the platforms offer more benefits than drawbacks.
