Guests can now book reservations for a new hospitality living concept, Scout Living, at Atlanta’s Ponce City Market. Featuring 405 one- and two-bedroom fully furnished and serviced living units, Scout Living will welcome guests for flexible lengths of stay – from a single night to a week, a month, or longer -- starting in September. Scout Living was created for a new generation of consumers who want greater flexibility in how they live, work, and travel. The concept is envisioned to provide the comfort and community of home with hospitality-style services and amenities. Jamestown's Groot Handelsgebouw (GHG) in Rotterdam was recently nominated for three BREEAM Official awards. BREEAM is one of the world’s leading sustainability assessment methodology for master planning projects, infrastructure, and buildings. The awards recognize the value in sustainability from new construction to operations. We're proud to receive these nominations as well as an Excellent (4 Stars) designation, with GHG being one of the first Dutch national monuments to achieve the recognition. We've invested heavily in making the building more sustainable through the installation of heat pump technology and opening green spaces such as Maaskant Park. Other environmentally friendly features at the property include rainwater storage, geothermal heating, and on-site waste management. We recently signed a lease with public accounting, consulting, and technology firm Crowe at One Metro Center, a more than 420,000 square-foot office building located in the East End of Washington, D.C. They will take 12,000 square feet in the building, which features direct internal access to the Metro Center Metrorail station, a rooftop terrace with trellises, and views of the nation’s Capitol and the Washington Monument. We continue to make progress on a multi-phase redevelopment that will transform an 85-acre portion of the former Charleston Naval Base into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood. We strive to have our properties become gathering places where local communities come to share in the significant moments in their lives. Last week, at Jamestown's Schinkel District in Amsterdam, multiple tenants hosted watch parties for the Netherlands' quarterfinal match in the UEFA EURO 2024 Cup. Local distillery Spirited Union Botanical Rum held celebrations on their new outdoor patio, while modern casual restaurant Bennie's offered a special dinner menu to be enjoyed in front of the big screen. Nearby, Bar Multipla also held a watch party on a large screen in their space. The Netherlands defeated Turkey 2-1 and advanced to the semifinal game, which is taking place this afternoon. For the first time in over a decade, New York's Fourth of July fireworks took place over the Hudson River, which made Pier 57 an ideal spot to view the show and celebrate Independence Day. In Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi is a worldview centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. We approach real estate with a similar mindset, choosing to accept and even accentuate the distinctive character of historic buildings, rather than creating simple, four-white-wall-buildouts. As our cities evolve, information exchange and collaboration across borders can be catalysts for growth and innovation.   This belief was put into practice this week as we welcomed a delegation of London-based real estate leaders and city officials organized by Opportunity London, an initiative promoting capital investment into London’s low carbon real estate, energy, and infrastructure. As part of their trip to the U.S., we toured some of our signature projects in New York and Boston, including Chelsea Market, Pier 57, Industry City, and the Innovation and Design Building, as well as other projects like the Brooklyn Army Terminal and Governor’s Island.    Opportunities like these emphasize the value of global dialogue around urban development, as major cities like London and New York look for placemaking solutions for sustainable growth.   #commercialrealestate #CRE #GlobalCities #AdaptiveReuse

At their best, our properties are gathering places where people and businesses come together for the benefit of the community. EverybodyFights, which combines the grit of a traditional boxing gym with the style of a luxury fitness studio, has raised over $70,000 for various charitable causes since opening at Boston's Innovation and Design Building (IDB) earlier this year. By partnering with their members to offer workout classes and events to raise money for initiatives important to their community, they offer a unique, holistic approach to fitness not typically seen at comparable health clubs.
