Last year's floods in Derna, #Libya resulted in a water and sanitation crisis affecting 400,000 people. Our water, sanitation and hygiene teams have been working to help these communities recover since storm struck. In addition to providing clean water and other essential support, our teams focus on decreasing the risk of diseases caused by reduced access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene as a result of the floods. With support from UNICEF, we conducted more than 750 hygiene awareness sessions on the importance of safe water, handwashing and more.

🚨 Urgent Update: The situation in #Sudan is worsening quickly. Clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces have spread to Sennar, displacing an estimated 136,000 people. This comes at a time when hunger levels and the number of people on the brink of famine are rising. International Medical Corps is still in Sudan, supporting nutrition centers, providing lifesaving water, sanitation and hygiene services, medical consultations and more.
