Sharing this important event organized by the AIA International EP group. Thank you Michelle Montgomery, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP for organizing this: The 2024 AIA International Mentorship Program will welcome NCARB tomorrow Wednesday, June 26th at 9 am EST to discuss licensure to an international audience. The group will review how licensure is achieved in the US as well as different paths created to obtain licensure, particularly if you are a foreign architect coming to the US from abroad. This will be an interesting opportunity to learn more about NCARB, their efforts on the international stage and ask questions during the Q&A on your area of interest, like the recent MRA signed in the UK, or what NCARB is doing to create different paths to assist architects to achieve licensure in the US. This session is open to all who are interested to attend, please join us. The zoom link for this AIA International session is: https://lnkd.in/eaY2jGDk

Thank you, Utile and HOK! Utile and HOK have become a bronze-level sponsors of the IAC Handbook, a vital resource for immigrant architects in the US. HOK Co-CEO, Susan Klumpp Williams AIA, LEED AP, shared with us that, “At HOK, we believe that diverse experience and ideas leads to better design. We recognized the valuable contributions Gozde Yildirim, MBA could make to our work and the firm and were pleased to be able to sponsor her visa. We hope that supporting her and books like the Handbook for Immigrant Architects can both inform and inspire other architects and designers”. HOK and Utile's donation were instrumental in achieving this milestone.

🎉 Congratulations, Kunal Bhardwaj https://lnkd.in/eD95S8a9! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that Kunal has been selected as the recipient of the #IAC Architectural Excellence Scholarship for Students for the 2024 academic year! Kunal’s application stood out among many talented candidates, and we are beyond excited to award him this scholarship. He is in his last year of the undergraduate program at North Carolina State University. After receiving notification of the IAC scholarship, Kunal shared with us: "I would like to thank you for your generosity and eagerness to help support F1 students across the country. Any magnitude of support is deeply appreciated as the stressors from our relatively ambiguous future are amplified when paired with the equally daunting financial burdens of our education. These funds would exponentially nourish my last year at NC State and allow me to immerse myself in the parts of school which have proven to be the most beneficial to me; activities such as conducting research, working with other professionals to synthesize my research, and travel to experience different cultures and geographies to understand the human condition across different landscapes, all while not hindering my education and the financial burden of studying abroad." At the Immigrant Architects Coalition, our mission is to support international students like yourself who are pursuing degrees in architecture in the United States. Your dedication and commitment to the field of architecture are truly inspiring, and we believe that you have a bright future ahead. #scholarahip #IAC #immigrantarchitects
