Last week, we were thrilled to welcome young explorers from Family Service Lincoln as part of their Lincoln Camp Give Back. These curious and compassionate kids are a shining example of our community’s bright future. During the visit, the kids got an inside look at how the Food Bank operates and helped pack food boxes for distribution, lending a hand in our mission to provide nourishing meals to neighbors in our community. We were inspired by their energy and are grateful for their dedication. Thank you for spending your day with us!

Last week, some of the managers and directors at the Food Bank of Lincoln teamed up with the amazing crew at Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach to serve warm meals and spread joy. This collaboration reflects our shared dedication to compassion and service. Beyond nourishment, we're fostering connections and strengthening our community support system. We appreciate this partnership and remain committed to working together to connect more meals to more neighbors.

We recently received a generous check from Hy-Vee, Inc. as part of the inspiring 100 Million Meals Challenge, a collaborative effort between Hy-Vee, Inc. and Feeding America. This incredible donation will help us provide approximately 354,000 meals to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hy-Vee, Feeding America and everyone who rounded up their purchases at checkout—you are truly making a difference! The challenge continues through December, so there's still time to get involved. You can easily participate by opting for the round-up option at any Hy-Vee, Dollar Fresh Market, or Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh location. Every local contribution will help support families experiencing hunger right here in Southeast Nebraska. To find a Hy-Vee location near you, visit: https://lnkd.in/eSzQTjm

The Summer Food Service Program is still in full swing! When school is out during the summer months, many children no longer have access to daily nutritious meals. Summer Meal Programs help to fill that gap by providing free breakfast and lunch. All meal sites are open to the public. Kids 18 and younger are welcome! Please note that tomorrow (6/28) will be the last day for some of the meal sites. To learn more and see the meal schedule, head to this link: https://lnkd.in/gP94Rp2p
