Meet Mark Fleming, DEI's Director of Quality Assurance, who has been with the company for nearly 34 years since joining in October 1990 after completing his graduate studies at Virginia Tech. Mark has played a meaningful role in DEI's transformation from a small consulting firm into a multifaceted organization specializing in R&D, hardware development, process technologies, and field services. As the driving force behind DEI's quality initiatives, he oversees the 10CFR50 App. B/NQA-1/10CFR21 QA program and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Mark works closely with the management team and clients, ensuring that the company not only meets but exceeds its quality commitments. Inspired by his love for math and science, Mark's mechanical engineering and materials science journey transitioned from technical work to quality management as the company grew. He values collaborating with his talented colleagues, who have become like family and takes pride in DEI's positive impact on customers. Mark is passionate about his family, music, and sports outside of work, continuing to play soccer and performing with his band, Jack Astronaut, in the DC/MD/VA area.
