July 15 marks World Youth Skills Day! 🛠️ At E.S. Fox Limited, we recognize the vital importance of empowering young people with the skills they need for successful careers and entrepreneurial ventures. Today's youth are not just the future, but the driving force of innovation and change in our industry. We're dedicated to investing in the next generation of industry professionals, nurturing their potential to lead and innovate across various construction divisions. E.S. Fox actively supports a number of programs that inspire and educate young minds. Each year, we hire dozens of College and University co-op students for our daily operations, often promoting them into the company after graduation. We also work closely with our affiliated partners. Through our union apprenticeship programs, hundreds of young workers are inducted into our workforce, creating a significant opportunity toward their skilled trade development. And, as a founding member of the Nuclear Innovation Institute, we actively support initiatives that promote skill development, encouraging collaborative engagement with communities, industries and governments. These programs play a crucial role in preparing Canada’s youth for the complexities of our projects and foster a passion for innovation now and well into the future. Let's continue to empower and equip our youth with the skills and opportunities they need to build a brighter future for themselves. Happy World Youth Skills Day!

June 6, 2024, marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day. As we reflect on the freedoms preserved through the sacrifices of so many, E.S. Fox Limited remains mindful of the need to "Honour the Fallen, Help the Living." As part of our 90th-anniversary donation pledge, we are pleased to announce that we have selected Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC) as our latest $90,000 donation recipient. WWC is a national mental health service provider dedicated to serving trauma-exposed organizations, professionals, and their families. Its programs focus on supporting resiliency and recovery from post-trauma injuries through a combination of education, counselling, and training approaches for Canadian Armed Forces members, First Responders, Corrections Officers and Security Officers who've been exposed to traumatic events in their line of duty. Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada - a day dedicated to recognizing and honouring the diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. At E.S. Fox Limited, we're committed to fostering a workplace that values diversity and inclusion in all forms. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional territories of multiple Indigenous groups throughout Ontario, where our offices and projects are situated, and we're dedicated to advancing reconciliation through ongoing education, partnerships, and meaningful connections with Indigenous communities. This week, our team had the opportunity to participate in the Indigenous People’s Day Celebration at the Bruce Power Site and the Darlington Energy Center (OPG) to further our education on the diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We encourage everyone to learn, listen, and celebrate the rich cultures and heritage of Indigenous peoples across Canada today and every day. #NIPD2024

Last week, we had the honour of hosting Brian Barron from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development at our annual Safety Summit. Brian engaged attendees with insightful discussions on MLITSD campaigns, legislative updates, emerging trends, and the dynamics of human behaviour in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). The summit brought together E.S. Fox safety coordinators and managers and served as a platform for sharing valuable knowledge, exchanging experiences, fostering inspiration for change, and strengthening team dynamics! --- Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills / Travail, Immigration, Formation et Compétences

Happy Father's Day to all the outstanding dads and to those who, though not formally labelled as 'dad', wholeheartedly embrace the duties and joys of fatherhood with equal dedication. Whether you're a mentor, coach, uncle, or friend stepping up to provide guidance and support, your influence is immeasurable and deserving of recognition. Today, we celebrate all forms of fatherhood and the love that knows no bounds.

With 90 years in business, our archives are brimming with snapshots from years past. 📸 Around this time in 1961, the E.S. Fox crew was on-site at the (then) Canadian Shredded Wheat Company building in Niagara Falls - now home to Post Consumer Brands. Despite the passage of 63 years and the evolution that ensued, Post remains a valued client to this very day! #90YearsOfESFox
